I eat hot chillies, order the hottest curries (Phall) and so far no adverse affects whatsoever. Fairplay that man. My limit is a Naga Chicken but when we lived in Spain 12 or so of us went for a curry after watching Palace beat W Ham in Cardiff (i was the only Palace fan). Obviously i was a bit drunk so my manc mate dared me to eat the hottest thing on the menu to celebrate our promotion (he'd done one in the past........just). I can't remember what it was called but the waitress asked me if i was sure that is what i wanted, ''of course i was'' i said. It turned up and foooooooooooooooook me it blew my bloody head off! Half-way through i gave up.

Hot is good when backed with flavour. Bit of Scotch Bonnet is definitely preferable to something equally hot on the Phillip Schofield scale but lacks flavour. When I was your age I could eat scotch bonnets raw but as I got older my tolerance lessened and nowadays even a curry made with scotch bonnets can often be too hot

Back in the 80s, my now my wife and I used to frequent the 'Anarkali' restaurant in Streatham. The owners knew I did 'Very hot' so used to bring me some fried dried chillies they said were called 'Naga chillies'.Bloody marvellous !

My wife comments the only food I don't have chillies with is when I have eggs and bacon !

Some restaurants and takeways only go as far as "Vindaloo" and I ask them to make it extra hot, phall strength ! Edited by Willo (18 Sep 2017 6.05pm)

Did anyone do or see the steak challenge at Joe Bananas which used to be next to where Madhouse clothing possibly still is in Croydon? Something like a 24oz steak, loads of big chips, onion rings, mushrooms, anything and everything that can go with steak, and some more of it. Cost a lot but free if you finish it.
