Boom and bluster. Talk of the UK economy being f*cked are premature in the extreme. There really are some mischievous little imps about.

Premature ejaculation, one might say.

Babybell is NOT cheese.... it's a bloody chemical compound!

US banks JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley have all confirmed they are staying in London and not moving to Frankfurt. Of course. London is the most popular city to live in.

I wonder who encouraged BNP Paribas to hint they'd flee to Paris? Hollande perhaps? The same Hollande due to fight an election next year? The same Hollande bitter at the following.

The exchanges issue went through court last year and it was decided they stay in London. It was argued at the time the reason was Britain was in the EU and if it wasn't the decision would be different and the UK would lose the exchanges.

It would take a long time to move clearing and exchanges to move out of the UK and in that time they'll realise it makes no difference whatsoever, just as not being in the Euro currency made no difference. The city actually kept growing.

Everything is computerised to the nano second and it actually makes no difference where it's based, but it does make a difference where all the talent already is, wants to be with their own, want to live, send their kids to school, be in an English speaking city, great night life and weekend life. Everybody know this city is a big pull, hence why London experiences more positives of immigration.

A lot of commuting city workers voted leave. They had a good feeling it's mainly empty threats.

Maybe the French have read that link and this thread regarding cheese. On Tonight's Newsnight, the French finance minister said in a sit down interview, not in the BBC studio, that things were on the table for discussion, including freedom of movement. There could be room for negotiation.

A Swedish minister said there would be no negotiation.

Later on Newsnight I think they said The Daily Mail headline is that 'France Is cracking.' Evan Davis said that's the way it's starting to look from the view of the French and Germans but not the other members.

Merkel has looked under pressure already.

Merkel has, so far, been reasonably sensible with her statements. Hollande has not.

We all know who wears the trousers there.

Evan Davis has got a Prince Albert in his knob.

So I've heard.
