Why is 'the flats where I live' more representative than numbers you don't like?

It's just an example which directly impacts my day to day life. I'm pretty sure you could extrapolate something similar across some parts of the capital.

I'd love to know where that 60% came from. Wikipedia?

I don't really understand genuine national pride. I like familiarity and a sense of belonging to some extent but national pride is akin to religion. It is largely illogical.
Equally I don't really understand the desire to cosy up to foreigners to ease some guilt trip hangover or feel all moral and multicultural.
It's all part of the same nonsense.

I think the two things I'm most proud of are

1) Recovering from a nervous breakdown and establishing myself in a career in the process of recovering, whilst also kicking a drug habit (all in the same few years).

2) Having sex with a fit Japanese woman.

3) Being my mums son.

The second one makes no real sense. The first one, makes sense and the third one is really about dealing with her death.

You shared a platform with Muslims? Are you some sort of activist or something? You must feel very righteous. I haven't even shared a park bench with a Muslim. Nothing against them, it just hasn't happened.

Surely you can't know that??

I'm British, because that's the passport I hold. I worked in Glasgow for a few years, and my experience, is that Scots, like the Welsh and the English, are basically comprised of people who don't care about nationality, except for sports, people who really don't care, and some people who take it all a bit to seriously.

I think its important to separate as Welsh, Northern Irish, Scottish and English, because its kind of fun to take p1ss. Lets face it, without national rivalry Rugby would be even more boring.

In my opinion, around 40% of people are c**ts, the other 60% don't realise they're c**ts.

Where do you get your numbers from Jamie?

I know how percentages work you piss taker

EDIT: this is from wikipedia:
White (59.8%)
Asian (18.4%)
Black (13.3%)
Mixed (5%)
Arab (1.3%)
Other (2.1%)

This is from a 2011 census which has two issues. It's very old and the census isn't filled in by everybody

Who gets to decide what are 'british things'? Why can't 'british' also be 'progressive'? Where will the madness end???

Well that was a very different Britain to the one we have today.
I actually served this country for eight years of my life, I was once proud to be 'British', however our national identity has been eroded by years of politically correct BS, the selling off of industry (both Tory and Labour), mass immigration and the giving away of powers to un-elected bellends in Brussells. It's like watching an old friend die.
I would now consider myself English, not British and certainly not European.

All you can ever be sure of in life is that things will eventually change in ways that are alien and unwanted. You either adjust to reality or get 'stuck' and angry.

What a strange thing to say.

But now we need to know, have you ever eaten a Cornish pasty opposite a Jew?

Did you come across Gurkhas, Fijians, Australians, Kiwis, Irish, Indians and squaddies from god know how many other commonwealth countries?

How would you feel if that Spitfire had been flown by a Pole or a Sikh?

The England (Britain) of Reach for The Sky or In Which We Serve never really existed.

These things are all "real" and actually mean something to you personally.

I have been suffering from a form PTSD for several years and I'm quite pleased with myself for not going completely nuts, so I know where you are coming from.

I have never had sushi however.

But as you live/d in Preston, you must have had a reasonable amount of interaction with Muslims?

Not as far as I know. Wouldn't have a problem with doing so though, or sharing a park bench with a Muslim.
