I wonder if you will answer my question about the ramifications of censorship.

I doubt it.

p.s. I'm happy with the ramifications of censorship. All of the ramifications, even the really bad ones...

Now your turn...

Do you think songs about killing gays should be allowed
Yes
or
No?

You have failed to answer this question with a YES or NO
Do you think a song about killing gays should be allowed
Yes
or
No?

If you're going to whine about censorship/Elton John/Fast food Rockers... then save your time... i'm looking for a Yes or a No?

I have answered your question. Multiple times and there isn't a 'yes' or 'no' answer, in my opinion, there is a broader context that needs addressing.

When are you going to answer the question I put to you about the ramifications of censorship? You have ignored that whilst constantly haranguing me. You come over as a bully. When you cannot explain yourself or get the answer you demand, whether the question is answerable or not, you resort to persistent pressure.

I think it is quite a easy question... here I'll show you.

Do you think songs about killing gays should be allowed?

Me: No.

I'm sorry you think I am a bully... I shall not ask you the question again.

I shall be back from football about 7... Feel free to ask me any questions about the "ramifications of censorship" I will answer all of them honestly and directly.

I think we need to have censorship. The problem is where to draw the lines and how to effectively administer it.

Well said. This was exactly my point above before all the macho posturing. We have censorship already, it is simply a question of degree. If the Nazis were around today I would expect their rhetoric to be blocked from being aired. I cannot believe the various people claiming there should be no censorship would welcome a lecture on eugenics and how the average Brit should be exterminated before ruining the gene pool.

Are you being deliberately obtuse or do you not genuinely understand what I am saying? What I suspect you are doing is trying to get the moral high ground by labelling those with a different view to you as a 'homophobe'. This type of labelling is completely disengious and morally weak. Sadly, it is a creeping reality in Britain at the moment that not opposing censoring some bigots, means you are lumped in their category or portrayed as supporting them when in fact what you are supporting is the concept of a free society.

If you wish to live in a censored society, suggest you move to Tehran, Moscow or Beijing and then tell me that the random beatings or murders of minorities doesn't happen. Censorship is not the answer.

Good job we live in a society where there isn't any censorship already then. Which makes this so mindless.

After all, we are all free to talk about how great it would be to have sex with children and blow up other people in the name of our God aren't we?

Indeed. The koran is freely available.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I'm not sure that music should be exempt from the kind of restrictions that film and TV have but we have to be careful what we wish for.

So you confront something by banning it?

Thank you for sharing yourself with us. I have read more of your comments. We are all different and special and need others (and ourselves)to share with others. What is banned goes underground - becoming more acceptable to participants?). what remains exposed can be judged and (hopefully?) guidance given regarding what is acceptable.

Do you think that in certain Mosques or in the meetings of certain extreme right and left wing groups, that views the mainstream believe to be offensive are not being aired?

I say let them air their views and break down their arguments logically.
