As far as the victims are concerned, good riddance to worthless s***e.
Having said that, this will run and run longer than the Belgrano. I will be most interested to hear Jeremy Corbyn's unequivocal support.

Of course the issue around the Belgrano was less about the fact that it was sunk but that Thatcher Lied and lied and lied about where the boat was and what direction it was going

The current story regarding the killings is actually less about the current instance as what it says about future actions. Something in advance of a known threat is one thing - as may be the case here. If we are replicating the US who have a list of names that they will execute on site, often with the names extracted by torture. If we are doing that it would be disastrous for our international reputation (and safety)

2 dead terrorists? No longer able to breed and spread their evil, racism, murdering and rape?

You're welcome Syria/Iraq.

Suspected, and the strike killed four people in the car.

The rule of law generally requires that you prove that an act of self defense was reasonable, as invariably the party left standing will always claim that it was 'the only course of action'.

What would you rather have had - 2 terrorists and 2 people in their car dead or another 7/7?

I take you also read about their planned attacks in the UK?

Yes, in the news papers, by way of David Cameron. I also remember a prime minister having absolute irrefutable proof about Iraqs weapons of mass destruction.

I'd have the first, but I also want it confirmed that those two people were definitely terrorists and it was reasonable from the evidence that they were plotting an attack.

I'll sleep easier tonight. And yes, I will always care about British people first (not only, just first and foremost).

It won't affect my sleep. I don't worry about things over which I have no control Technically of course two of those killed were British citizens and suspected terrorists.

They played dirty. They won't stop if we ask them nicely.

Not what I'm saying, I'm happy for us to kill ever single last man jack of these b******s. Just lawfully

Does it really matter as long as they are not around to kill and maim people. Lets hope a few more go the same way. At least our prime minister had the guts to OK the drone strikes where the labourites just want to sweep it under the table. They should be ashamed of themselves as due to their vote against Syrian strikes there are thousands and thousands of people fleeing their country and invading the European union!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

This is the problem with "modern warfare" everything is done in the full glare of the media and people don't want innocent people to die. Horrible nasty things happen in war, sometimes unnecessarily but you can't win against someone like IS by playing the moral card. We should be terrifying them, scaring the bejesus out of them so they can only sleep with one eye open. All this trying to fight by consensus and without killing anyone is madness and will lead to greater casualties in the long run.

Bulls***

These people made a video encouraging people to join IS. That alone is reason enough for them to be taken out. Or would you rather see British soldiers on the ground dying?

Watching captured soldiers being decapitated on social media, would that ease your conscience?

I disagree. Dead terrorists by fair means or foul makes the world a safer happier place. I couldnt give a flying fcuk if that makes us as bad as them. We are not trying to inflict our views/beliefs on the "infidels" of the world, just protect our right to our own way of life.

What if the other two people in the car were entirely innocent, hostages, or working with the suspected terrorist against their will? Their families and friends will have nothing but hatred and loathing for the UK, which in turn may breed more terrorists.

It was my dream to play for Palace and to make my debut. I've always played for the club so if I'm playing here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

So your answer is another 7/7 ?

And no, surely they'd have hate and loathing for the terrorists that caused their deaths, not the UK which acted to protect it's people?

Read my post a bit further up

It is perfectly legal to kill people such as this if they are planning an atrocity. I am not arguing that this killing is illegal from what we are told (ahem)

What would horrify me is if we follow the US policy which is to execute on site anyone on a list. These names include terrorists who deserve what they get - but also include names thrown out whist some poor sod is being water-boarded and otherwise tortured. You can be sure if at any time I were in that position I would name all of you on the Board. That is illegal in international law

Glad they got them and hope they get plenty more.

They don't want them there and we don't want them back. I'd be happy for us to off the ones who return voluntarily quite frankly.

Yeah it does matter, because sooner or later if you don't follow your own rules you end up defining targets in looser and looser sense, and you're killing people who might or might not be the enemy or you think probably are.

Look at the US and its torture, abduction and detention of suspected Terrorists. It went very quickly from 'key known targets' to people who just had the misfortunate to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time or have similar names.

Nothing against killing the right people. It just that when the state sponsors the assassination of individual in another country, its probably better to have good though oversight and confirmation, than to just give them a free hand and take their word for it.

When someone acts in self defense, we expect them to demonstrate it was reasonable to do so. So to the state.

Even if the other two in the car are innocent, they're travelling with suspected terrorists - its regrettable, but two for two is probably acceptable. But the key is proving that they are actually terrorists, and involved in plots against the UK which the strikes prevented.

The problem comes when you then just strike any collateral damage target to get one or two suspects, and end up taking out whole families, wedding parties etc, and then decide that its all 'classified' national security information, so you can continue to bomb loosely defined suspects.

When the state acts in a manner that's quasi-legal, it has to have an independent body to which it answers for each and every case.
