Day 2.....

Paloma Faith 10/10... good stage presence and upbeat superb musical performance by her and her band.... she's a good laugh as well.

Suede.... blew me away! 11/10. Butler looked a bit mardy, but great old choons expertly delivered by Brett and Co.

Kanye West..... the jury's out... is he sh1t or really sh1t?

Gaz Coombes - enjoyed his set immensely, looks like he did too.

The Bonus of the day?.....Elbow weren't performing at Glasto this year, so a 2 hour borefest was avoided. Hopefully they'll disband soon.

Looking forward to Weller later on today, not sure who else is on who I might enjoy.

...he's not in the band anymore.

I know he left the band yonks ago, but thought he might have rejoined for the Glasto gig as it was a one off ....

If not, as seems likely, he had a double on stage who not only looked like Butler but acted like him.

I was fooled!

After watching the shocking Kanye West (AKA w***y Set). Last night I realised how refreshing Lionel is !

Hahaha.... W*nkey Set just about summed him up.

Overall Glasto this year was as good as ever.... for me Kanye West and Florence ruined it, but Suede and Paloma Faith completely smashed it and there were loads of refreshing new bands to enjoy.

Hats off to Mr Eavis again.

Sexist pig! It's daughter Emily who books the acts.....

It's his farm and licence to put on the event.

Pharell basically showed Kanye how to write the theme tune, produce the theme tune, sing the theme tune and not be a massive cnut. His dancers were great and he gave them each their time in the spotlight. Something unthinkable for Kanye. As contrived as it may have been there was also a positive message rather that one comparing himself to the son of God. That's what was infuriating about the whole Kanye backlash and the backlash over the backlash. It's quite simple, no one likes an arrogant cnut or should be forced to on the basis that they are a big name (or non-white as was suggested by some cretins)

What was wrong with the crowd for Weller?

Altern8 on Arcadia were epic.

All in all another frustrating experience not being able to see everything.

I'd not even heard of Ben Howard and was only walking past but sounded amazing. Same with Chemical Brothers and Belle and Sebastien, Adam Cohen. The Other stage seems to serve as a major junction providing world class entertainment as I spent most the weekend walking through although I did catch the whole of Courteeners there.

I had a wonderful time. That was my 11th Glastonbury and it was certainly up there with the best.

Highlights for me include The Charlatans, Cronixx, Mary J Blige, Run The Jewels, The Libertiness, Jamie XX, Lionel Richie and The Chemical Brothers.

I also didn't think Kanye was as bad as people are making him out to have been. Having seen both Jay-Z an Kanye now headline Glastonbury, Kanye was much better, yet he's being panned by everyone and Jay-Z was regarded as a triumph. SUppose it's all about opinions at the end of day.

Anyway, saw lots of Palace shirts and flags which was really nice. Already counting down the days to next year....]

Musically it was definitely up there with the best I've been to. Hardly saw a sh*t performance all weekend, and I only faceplanted one tent navigating my way through the guide ropes when battered.

Nine and a half thumbs up.

I watched The Who on iPlayer and thought that they were excellent.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Really want to get tickets next year, as its a fallow year in 2017. Couldn't go this year due to an important wedding.
