It will be v interesting to see what they offer.I don't think they will offer anything on freedom of movement as a principle (especially given Switzerland and Norway both had to agree it to even have an association agreement) but there may be be something along the lines of new arrivals not being able to access some state benefits for a longer period.

Britain isn't Norway and Switzerland......We come as a significant net contributor.

Nothing on 'freedom of movement' means I voting 'no'....To be honest I can't see them getting anywhere without making a deal on that.

When it comes to the EU question Ukip rule the country....The EU's tune will change in the final few months....You mark my words.

This whole area is likely to be the only interesting thing that's going to happen over the next five years.

It's going to be a tough old time.

Just as interesting is the amount of money the UK would save in net contributions to the eu's finances should the country vote for leaving. In 2013 alone the net contribution was £11.8 billion...

want to hear the arguments before deciding for sure, but gut feel at the moment is in/in

However, I doubt it will be a straightforward and fair IN/OUT question (much like the 'PR' referendum, which was in no way anything like PR when it came to the actual question asked).

I wouldn't even be surprised if it doesn't happen at all - due for, I think, 2017, that gives them 3 years to gloss over the fact they didn't follow through one of their chief promises before the next election, and without Nige, the UKIP bandwagon will now stutter to a halt, so the problem will be gone (for a while at least).

The threat of a referendum might help with playing hardball over some sort of renegotiation with the EU, but the Tories don't want to leave and more than anyone else (aside from UKIP)

The EU membership question really isn't as simple as 'in / out'.

It suits the vested interests to make it a stark choice.

As UKIP won the last EU elections with ease, that would suggest that the majority of people want out.

How the hell can the Tories hold a referendum when they don't want us to leave? The whole thing will be fixed beyond belief. They are even planning to let the EU immigrants who currently live here vote! for Fxxx sake, really?

Just like the Scottish referendum.

I'm unsure on what I would prefer but I will put all of my life savings (47 pounds) on 'IN'. Far too profitable for the likes of us to be given a say. Imagine the law suits if it was post TTIP!
