Usually the reason people migrate has generally been to avoid repression, often religious. That's why most people you'll meet from countries like Iraq or Iran in the UK, tend to be quite moderate. It's a fair point, but remember that the majority of Catholics and Protestants were probably moderate in Northern Ireland, but it will be the noisy minority that we will remember.
