The US are expected to intervene in Israel and yet the Saudi's have done NOTHING to stop Isis.

One rule for them, one rule for everyone else.

Isn't it U. S intervention in Iraq that's allowed the rise of ISIS?

Absolutely Gusset. George Bush indoctrinated them, raised the finance to create an army, supplied them with weapons and then encouraged them to murder their own people in a brutal fashion.

The US is 100% responsible for this no those carrying it out are innocents forced into it by imperialist aggression.

You're so funny. Ha ha ha. You know what I meant.
Post invasion / withdrawal a power vacuum was created, to be filled by these miscreants. What if anything could have been put in place, if anything, to prevent this? Saddam was a cund, but he kept a handle on this sort of thing.

How did he keep a 'handle' on things?

Was it, per chance, via mass murder?

Like I said he was a c***.

So, you are saying it was ok for Saddam to murder millions because it was before US intervention in the region.

If so, you are a sick hypocrite, bereft of ideas and a natural contrarian who actually believes in little and offers no solutions.

You clearly have no understanding of nuance. You also are trying to pick a fight. You know I don't believe that. Kindly fack off and troll someone else matt. I just can't be arsed with you today.

You clearly have no idea. You know what you oppose but have little idea what the solution is.

That is littered across this boards.

Nick clearly meant that the removal of the secular but pro Arab leader by the U.S. has created a situation where Islamists have been able to thrive. If Saddam was there today you could be fairly sure ISIS wouldn't.

None of your business. Teacher can answer for himself and it wouldn't be as coherent as your response.

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

How is trolling asking Nick what he meant by saying 'Saddam had a handle on things'?

Baring miracles, ISIS is going to win the civil war in Syria and will probably also annex a large part of Iraq.
They have become rich from Saudi financing and their control of Oil Wells in conquered areas. This abhorrent regime isn't going to go away anytime soon.
Possibly the only source of influence over them comes from Riyadh...and how the hell does anyone influence the Saudi's? The ages old Shi'ite - Sunni coflict is perpetuated by their money, the continuing failures of compromise Peace Talks anywhere in the Middle East is also down to their money and influence. The west cannot get to the root of the problem because of the economic impact on the free-world(hah!) of any move against Saudi Arabia. It's one bullet we cannot bite untill reliance on oil is decreased significantly. For Europe this has to be added to dependance on Russian gas exports. Resource rich rogue states have us all over a barrel(pun intended).
To bring lasting peace without enormous costs in terms of lives and trade is currently impossible. Only by undermining the source of their wealth will these states be forced into compromise.
Untill then, any action against the belligerants will only be like cutting the head off the Hydra, nothing will be achieved that would last. Infact, the problem would be aggravated and spread further around the globe.
To end this conflict Saudi Arabia must be tackled. To do that, technologies not reliant on oil must be radically improved by investment etc.
It's the only way I can see to avoid globally fatal consequences.

I think the scariest part is that people from our very own society are rushing off to help a very backward cause. I read an article about a 20 year old medical student who starred in a ISIS recruitment video. What if he became your gp? Too many f***ing Muslims in england.
