Was he - didn't know that. Suggests Palace wanted most of the money up front -like Wan Bisakka. Not surprising in my view - just sound business and protecting Palace's interests.

It was in two instalments and mostly needed because we were skint, and we immediately borrowed against the second instalment from an Australian bank, which will have to be paid back.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Not really shocking news, but Wilf did Rio Ferdinands podcast and hes still very much set on leaving ASAP. Sometimes I wish he'd keep this chat to private conversations and not YouTube. He must realise how this sort of thing makes the fans feel.

He must realise how this sort of thing makes the fans feel. Personally I hope he has used this down time to get his head straight and will come out at his imperial best for the remaining games and earn himself the big move he wants. The whole transfer business last summer clearly messed with his head and he has not been the same player this season, sometimes looking like he is more concerned about injuries and not looking to take on his man so much. I would love new investors to come in and say "We're going to invest in the club and challenge for trophies" and that Wilf stays, but failing that or an unlikely surge into the European spots I think it could prove disruptive to keep him for another season as Wilf is very much a player who wears his heart on his sleeve. Given all he has given to the club in terms of performances it would be a real shame if he left on a sour note.

Empty stadiums might help him.

I've just looked at the Daily Star online item and the scrap of discussion on Talksport. Sensational revelation: Zaha still has an ambition to win trophies. So what?

He's got to go. I don't blame him for wanting to join a bigger club but think he way he's gone about it over the last 12 months has been fairly disrespectful. He's been average this season and Ayew has been our best attacking player, someone who obviously wants to play for us. If we can still get £60m for him then take it and try and get a couple of guys like Eze from the Championship. I do think it's a shame it's all ending like this.
