We are their first choice if only because they are not good enough to go higher. We know they would all want top money, top six. They commit to us because that’s how they see their situation. It’s commitment my comment is addressing and the players we have are committed to us. Wilf on the other hand is showing how his commitment to Palace is certainly in question. It doesn’t matter what his reasons are, but by hanging out ,it’s clear he wants away he just waits for the perfect answer to his problem.
Something Palace, as of yet don’t give him, and probably never will, even if he stays.

I do get the argument. Patchy performances, big wage, increasing injury occurrence.

But seeing Wilf walk out onto the pitch (with Olise and Eze) just give me such confidence.

I'm not emotionally ready to let him go just yet.

In some ways I feel about Wilf the same as an ex-girlfriend (let me finish). We might have split up and she might be a pain but it still hurts to see her out with somebody else.
This is from memory since I haven't had a girlfriend for 30 years and it would hurt more tangibly if the wife caught me gazing wistfully at one of her predecessors.

Whilst i appreciate your opinion and understand it completely , i on the other hand think we are a better team without him . I also am sick to my back teeth of the constant circus that follows him every transfer window , whether its his brothers or his agent prostituting him constantly to other clubs and trying their best to instigate a " big money move for him " and also lets not forget the transfer request he handed in and never rescinded or apologized for . Also i think it will cause a lot of resentment in the dressing room if he has been offered a 4 year contract at 200k per week,lets not forget the clubs policy that seems to have been flung out the window about only giving 1 year contracts to over 30s . I think his ego is big enough , he is starting to pick up a few injuries now which is understandable because of his age and the pace he plays at and how much he is fouled , i think we have been very lucky that he has had no major injury todate ( touch wood) . If he thinks he can do better elsewhere then he has my blessing . He has been great for the club so have a lot of players and we have managed without them . It just my opinion .

As far as I'm concerned in this situation, no news is goodbye. Negotiating with clubs.
