I have said to my pals and supporters of other clubs through the years that when you watch Wilf week in and out you will see that he is not as good as the highlight reels on YouTube would make you believe but that doesn’t mean he is not an amazing football talent.

There are so many aspects needed to make it to the very top in football and unfortunately for him he is lacking in a lot of them, especially when it comes to his personality and how easy it is for him to be wound up. I can’t remember the last player iv seen in this division to be in constant running battles with opposition fans, players and referees and no top club is going to put up with that because it is a major flaw. If you are going into every game thinking the whole world is against me and you have a point to prove it is only going to act as a negative.

That being said I hope he stays because he is the best attacking player at our club by a country mile and he is the only player we have who is capable of some magic with the ball. I’v no idea where fans are getting that he is a disruptive influence on our team in the dressing room or that he sulks on match days. In my eyes he gives all he can but he is just not as good as a lot of people think he is and he is not as good as he thinks he is but he is still our best player.

Totally agree with you. He's our most tallented player. The oposition are scared to let him have the ball. He has his flaws, yet we don't set up the team to play to his strengths. It's no wonder he is frustrated.

The level of critism leveled at him seems completely unwarrented. We generally play a team that can't string two passes together yet Wilf gets slated if he doesnt put on an outstanding performance every week.

If he does have a quite game it's normally because he's getting doubled up on and the rest of the team is incapable of causing any kind of threat to the oposition.

In our last game he won a penalty and scored an equaliser, yet many are questioning what he was going on the pitch.

Looking forward to seeing Wilf, Eze, and Townsend playing together. Hopefully in a way that suit Benteke.

And how do you incorporate that into our team?

hope Wilf stays with the kids coming in if not no panic, we have untried kids who have the skills and speed until we play them more than 10mins we dont know what we have,so if he stays he may not need to do it all himself big chance he could look up and see a palace shirt in front of him for a change, all i want is that when he doesnt get a foul he gets up and chase back not sit and cry

He might just have a rival in our new boy.

Having said that, Wilf is his own worst enemy. I am hoping Roy puts him on the bench for the Soton game otherwise Ward-Prowse will probably get him sent off and we'd miss him for the next few games.

Wilf and Eze in the team together could be very exciting.

He has had 1 red card in his whole career so not much to worry about.

The rumours keep coming. And why would a top agent take him on if a move wasn’t top priority?
It’s a sad situation. But how can he want to be here. What he wants is common knowledge and his agent is the man to try and get it for him.
Wilf, wears his heart on his sleeve, and didn’t we know it last season,
I would like to see the club, accept the situation, and actively work to off load him. Rebuilding the squad in the process.
The end of an era in a way , but that’s how football goes, grasp the nettle Palace, and best wishes and good luck Wilf.

I hope that the club doesn't get a decent offer from one of the big boys. Wilf then looks at the new signings and decides he's better off in a Palace shirt.

Would love to see him again playing with a smile on his face.

If the club doesn't get a decent offer, a Palace shirt will be his only option. Whether on the pitch or on the bench will be up to him and Roy.

Arsenal have signed Willian, Everton have signed James Rodrigues. Not wanted at City, Liverpool, United or Chelsea. Can’t see him at PSG or Dortmund. I wonder where he will end up. Time for him to bite the bullet and get on with it at Palace.

How do you know? I know Wilf wants to move on, then OK. But if he stays then they would be great together..?

I hold my hands up , I can’t f*cking stand him, as a man or a footballer.
So much wasted talent it’s a joke , his ability is wasted on him.
He’s still mugging himself off now , Ward Prowse at home as he was 10 years ago against Alan Dunne at the Den.
Who hasn’t played against an idiot with loads of ability that can be talked/kicked out of a game, even at school boy level?
Ability he’s a 9 , mentally a 2.
Fair play to him for the 10% that he donates to charity, but apart from that can’t see any positives in him.
I want a player that still plays like he’s got a tenner in the bank (Suarez, Aguero, Kane etc) , Wilf plays like he’s ready to get in his Bentley , walking at defenders and wanting to beat them twice, three times. He thinks it the Zaha show.
Thinks he should be playing at a higher level, but none of the top clubs agree and his goals /assists show where he should be.
The ‘he’s one of our own ‘ is laughable , he left at the first opportunity and the only reason he is here is because he failed at Man Utd/Cardiff and no one else showed any interest.
Don’t care where he goes or if he succeeds or fails, I’m as interested in him, as he is in staying at Palace.
So much love for him on here, but I don’t hear it in the Holmesdale stand , many , like me think he’s a two bob c*nt.
