I see at least a thirty or forty seat majority mainly built on the 'Johnson' affect and irritation over parliament. It'll be quite an exciting campaigning season initially.....but by the end of it we'll all be sick of it. Wrap up warm for those doorstops. I suspect many are sick of the campaigning already ! In terms of a majority, I would not wish to make any predictions as we live in unpredictable times.Theresa May was predicted to attain a comfortable majority but we all know what happened, however a disastrous campaign and manifesto sealed her fate.I hear that Nick Timothy one of her trusted advisers involved in both was not selected as the Conservative candidate for the safe seat of Meriden.

I feel quite deprived this morning, as I don't have the odd 400 billions to spend. Could anybody lend me a fiver?

Javid is already breaking the tories own fiscal rules borrowing is steaming ahead. Without an election, borrowing would be back to pre-austerity levels quite soon. With brexit and spending excesses to come, it doesn't look good for UK plc.

This is what capitalism has done: The doesn't even factor in other improvements like medicine/vaccination. I don't think enough people understand this. If the west falls or gets taken over by socialism then the trends on this graph will reverse dramatically. We should be focused on removing chronyism not capitalism. I just wish more people would understand this.

No surprise to see pointless graphs from 1800 here. As if there could possibly be any comparison it is over 200 years ago. Still you were probably there come to think of it.

What does it matter when they are from? Why is the resolution important? Are you suggesting there are significant other factors?
