I'm sure there are plenty of 'rightists' (using your hackneyed parlance) that would also think it's OK to do the same. So the exclusivity implied in your point is null and void. Whataboutery. The amusing part of this is that we are being told that the justification for the continued harassment of this man is his law breaking by someone who then says he is happy to break the law. Seems like the height of hypocrisy to me.

My reference comes from reading a variety of news outlets daily. Political violence comes from the left these days. Have you heard of Antifa? If you want some data... Failed, foiled and completed terrorist attacks in the EU in 2017 (Europol). [Link] Jihadist: 33 As always, statistics are a minefield and the bigger picture is almost always discarded or not even mentioned. Also interesting how you've gone from a milkshake 'assault' to terrorism in one post, as though the two can be in some way correlated. 'Similar to 2016 the number of arrests for left-wing and right-wing terrorism remained low (36 and 20) arrested persons in 2017 respectively; 31 and 12 – in 2016).' 'The violent right-wing extremist spectrum is expanding, partly fuelled by fears of a perceived Islamisation of society and anxiety over migration.' Finally, my point was not whose p**** is bigger, more that to directly or indirectly label the 'leftists' as the only ones bringing punch to the party as complete and utter dross. Which it is. Especially when you're talking about the average moron on the street rather than organised terrorist groups. Next time make the point that 'although both sides have their violent contingents, the left are far more active in that respect.' Y'know, balanced and without bias, and factually accurate. Just because you 'read a lot' doesn't make you a) objective, b) an expert or c) able to interpret and assemble what goes in as something useful when it comes out. Cheers

Nothing to do with your subsequent retort, attempt at justification or otherwise

While my worldview and that of my fellow travelers on the right may differ somewhat from SW19 I think we can say that he's an intelligent poster. Personally I enjoy seeing the long running 'Bitcoin' war between him and Tux and I hope he carries on posting......I'm aware that this means that I should be getting out more. Ha. Noted As for bud bud bud, don't get me started

You've not actually confirmed if you think it's acceptable to assault someone who holds a different opinion than you.

Semantics. You've not actually confirmed if you think it's acceptable to assault someone who holds a different opinion than you. Not really, based on your post. Maybe read your own words again. It's not semantics when your own stats prove otherwise. Classic. I haven't confirmed because I wasn't asked. So as you (sort of) asked in a binary fashion, it's never acceptable. However, throwing a milky shake on someone is possibly one of the most feeble ways of assaulting someone. Maybe short of throwing a sack of feathers over them? Who knows. Either way, no matter who it was, you'd get off with a ticking off and a light fine if you did that to a random on the street. Let's not try to frame it as a cold hard punch to the face. When you say 'assault' do you immediately think, ah, delicious milkshake semi-agressively poured on head, or do you think – proper punchy punchy. I know where my mind goes. As with everything there are levels, this one is actually fairly comedic if you strip the partisan nature out of it. As was the Prescott fiasco (and before you bring up conviction for that, I've already covered it in a previous post. Milkshake -> Queen, prison. Milkshake -> Person of limited importance, Slap on wrist) Fairly simple.

Just like in Charlottesville? You keep raising Charlottesville. A situation created by leftists trying to tear statues down.

You keep raising Charlottesville. A situation created by leftists trying to tear statues down. Only a fool would address those events and focus on the statue issue. A young lady was murdered by a white supremacist coward.
