He puts many others to shame .. Well you're, with all due respect, an idiot. But you want to ''commend'' him?

Just watched the 2013 play-off final, currently posted on this site. Seeing Wilf repeatedly bamboozling the Watford players, hearing one of the commentators describing him as "by a million miles the best player on the pitch", and seeing the smile on his face, all came as a nostalgic reminder of what he used to be. I watched as well, Watford players were thugs back then as well.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Why has anyone got a problem with Wilf - or any player for that matter - earning good money?

And it must be quite special to still have 2 players in the regular starting line up nearly 7 years later.

It doesn’t require much skill. There’s no borrowing so yields are always profitable and there’s no exposure to economic recessions. I don’t begrudge people doing it while it’s still allowed but it isn’t how I see entrepreneurialism and it certainly is moving homes out of reach of their fellow citizens, causing the property shortage in the first place and a lot of the time just means a different tax payer. Like I say, I don’t begrudge anyone doing it but they don’t get my congratulations. If you’ve built a portfolio up from very little then that’s more impressive. The Press hasn't been full of stories of Premier League players trying to do something positive at this awful time. One of the very few, is one of ours. And yet still people moan. Being able to afford to do it is not a consideration. Zaha doesn't need to do it. I know some very wealthy people who wouldn't part with the steam of their piss unless there was something in it for them.

Hence why city bankers earn millions because they make millions. PL footballers earn millions because TV pay billions. Market forces.
