Blimey, it's like a bunch of schoolboys behind the bike sheds trying to prove who has the biggest dick on here at times....... it has nothing much to do with US Politics and it probably bores the pants off everyone else! (In no particular order: looking at you Maine, Sterling and Maple). (and no, I don't want to know the answer to the hypothetical scenario above either)

Which way? Keep up dimmy. I responded to Steely's idea that the House of Saud couldn't continue the war without British military exports: an obvious falsehood. You decided to suggest otherwise, though you have nothing but continual appeals to your own ego. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Feb 2021 2.02pm) The House of Saud could not pursue this war without support from the UK. It would be sub-critical if it only used its US hardware. The UK hardware needs a lot of servicing. Pattern parts don't work on fighter jets (for long anyway). The Saudis also use a lot of British weaponry and ammunition needs regular replacement. I don't know how many times I have to explain that to you. How do I know this? Many months working on advance and in-service procurement for a variety of military aircraft. Including US aircraft. I am afraid Dan is correct. You always think that if you blast off at people, in the end they back down. Frankly I can't be bothered any more, which is different. But on this topic you are woefully out of your depth.

In the sphere of world politics, this is indeed a crucial issue and one where both the UK and US need a careful think. We both seem to be fighting a proxy war. Maybe the change in US politics will also affect that.

I'm quite happy for the viewer to weigh up which of the positions is more accurate. And besides I like hearing about which paper, government, organisation or committee Maple has contributed to....while he presently saves the elderly of Croydon or wherever it is.
