It is bog-standard stuff you can hear anywhere, nothing different to recommend it.

Mindless drivel tbh, think I will get a classical fix instead.

That would be an extra £1 salary for every listener lost, so if she loses them another million listeners she will then be on more than Lineker !!

that's one thing I'm with you on.
I listen to classic fm a lot of the time in the van to and from work.
No bullcrap presenters spouting off. Just mellow music which some I've even heard before. The 100 film song countdown was good the other weekend.
Something we agree on at last

Just set it to Classic FM for tomorrow thanks.

It is the only UK radio station I listen to these days. As others have said, a welcome break from the utter bulls*** that passes as radio DJ'ing.

Just grasped what you mean. It is staggering. How can they reward failure in that way? If ever there was a single example of why the BBC has to go, this is it. There is no justification for it what so ever. Beyond belief that they can even contemplate this kind of salary hike at the moment. What on earth are they thinking? Do they want to piss the public off?

Lineker has agreed to a 23% pay cut (400k) so next year she will probably be on more anyway.

I used to listen to R2 all the time but I don’t bother switching on until the Ken Bruce show now. She is utterly useless and thinks she is funny which makes it worse. How that salary is even close to being justified is beyond me.

As for pissing the public off that is one thing the BBC positively shines at!

Try TalkRadio - a voice of sanity amongst the madness.

Zoe Ball also does Strictly take two.
Not that it matters as she is absolutely not worth that kind of money and added to that will be expenses, cars, other transport, hotels and more.
I agree on Talk Radio - it seems a very balanced view without all of the extremism that other stations are putting out currently.
A quitter version of LBC's Nick Ferrari - who I like and listen to by the way.

No surprise, but I imagine the BBC won’t be happy until it’s a 50/50 split.

Can’t wait until we are a minority so we can start handing some s*** out instead of taking it all the time.
