I don't think I am, I'm not talking about the 1,900, I'm talking generally and in particular the building industry which is where many of them end up.

Semi skilled tradesmen were actively encouraged by the big companies to enter from the EU and once the semi skilled workers were in the country their unskilled labourer mates flooded in either legally or illegally. I could introduce you to 20 or so of my friends who all had successful businesses who were basically priced out of the market place by immigrants and illegals. The only winner out of this were the big employers as they got cheap sub-contract labour. Their profits got bigger whilst our labour force found it harder and harder to pick up work.

A common story I would hear on site would be that they could only match a Polish sub contractors crews pricing on a job if they ran it on a break even basis.

It's been a building industry problem in the UK for 20 plus years and the big companies have just got bigger and the smaller companies have died. Of course the big companies never saw it as a problem as they were busy rubbing their grubby hands together and counting the profits.

I am hoping that Brexit will help sort this out but I bet it will be fought tooth and nail by the Corporates because they know they will be out of pocket.

I would add, property is my game, I can't really comment on how immigration, legal or otherwise, affects other parts of the economy or job markets.

The taxi driving game in London is finished for one, the corporates have got their hands in the pot, from the changing taxi every 10 years, to the price of them to buy! They even admitted at 67k they were overpriced by at least 10k, but think of the diesil money you save going electric! They didn"t mention you still have to pay for the electric charge! Then the driver has to pay 5% of any card fare himself, to the bank, where did that come from? If you buy something in a shop the shop owner doesn"t lose 5% of the sale. I just don"t get it, whats going on, and we lay down and go along with it! When the trade tried to demonstrate, only about 500 taxis turned out, out of 25000 ! We need more of the French fighting spirit, but ala it won"t happen, we will just carry on tipping our caps and let the school tie system milk us dry!

Where did i say all?I only said about 2000 don"t have licences and tfl can"t trace them as they gave incorrect details, and that boris, cameron, osborne and can add theresa mays husband have thousands of shares given to them in the sweetner, mr may has over 600000, not saying his were in the sweetner top be fair but seems lots of high brow CONservatives have a vested interest in uber, hence why 2000 uninsured/unlicenced/untraceable vehicles can carry on working!

Believe me it is the looney left/pc brigade that try to thwart removing people, at every turn. I had a 40 year career witnessing it. With regard to lower wages, maybe, just maybe, mass EU migration has a lot to do with that

Or maybe, just maybe, it"s got something to do with the powers to be in CON house, Dom rabb anyone?

Just look at what"s happening at British airways, small pay rise for the bottom 5% of workers, (probably to make the minimum wage rise), and 20%-50% pay cut for the majority, it"s a race to the bottom and that has nothing to do with migrants!

Sorry I cannot agree. Never seen any evidence ( I know that is not proof) but can only go on what I have seen and believe me hundreds of removals are thwarted by those I mentioned. They also get involved in visa issuance, indeed in this scenario I can say MPs get involved and during my 3 year tenure on the sub continent the wise one was that bastion of the Labour Party, Keith Vaz

It does not surprise me that they give incorrect details but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are in the U.K. illegally, but of course some maybe. Perhaps they don’t have U.K. valid driving licences? Now perhaps you can appreciate the problems Border Force have in trying to trace illegal entrants, it is basically the same scenario. Happened under Labour as well so not necessarily a CON issue

I think vaz was as corrupt as pritti patel, what do you think about dom rabbs attempt to et rid of the minimum wage then so they can get people working cheaper? He was acting pm when boris was dying, so no junior CON.And what do you think of the BA thing, i know you have family close to that, is it ok to half peoples wages, even in a crisis?

I agree, BA management have been trying to implement poorer terms for years, both my neighbours work for them (although one has now lost her job) so I get updated on a regular basis. I would not blame migrants for the greed of many corporation’s however some have been prepared to work for lower wages ( no slight on them), the best example being seasonal farm workers, which having seen many of their contracts is fact

I agree they aren"t all bad people, but the simple fact you stated that they might not have uk driving licence or any licence at all i might add should be enough for him not to be driving a mini cab around London and the rest of the country, no insurance for a start! It was the CON servatives pm and top brass letting uber in to England without assurances and paying any tax is the real issue, the fact that some of the outstanding 2000 plus might be rapists or murderers is an unfortunate consequence, it2s just business after all, and very good business indeed for the CONservative pm, CONservative mayor, now pm, and CON servative chancellor!

With regard to BA, as I have just posted, it is outrageous the way they are acting and using the pandemic as an excuse, not the only airline however.
My son was working for minimum wage last year and has lost his job this year, again do not agree with DR and find his attempt abhorrent. You see I am prepared to speak out against the Conservatives, if I disagree with them, it’s a shame others can’t do the same with regard to other parties ( not you by the way)

Anyway , it's not migrants that Western Europe is getting.

It's a tsunami of unattached men of military age. Men with often lowly education, religious fundamentalism , unknown criminal record and of unspecified family status back in their home country.

Did many of these men abandon a wife & kids back home ? only to then seek a new wife & kids in the destination country ?

I will not disagree with you on this. Having lived in pakistan and witnessed the driving, believe me driving tests are no existent but you can get a license (I have one)! In fact, if you know the right places you can get any document you wish, which are virtually indistinguishable from genuine ones ( although somewhat morbid I have my own death certificate, which when inspected was confirmed as genuine!! Trampled by an ox, what a way to go!!)
