Yes and I would coerce Mrs Hoof to sign too!

I personally thinks it's brilliant, well done to the man.
And as for the afghan he risked his and his families lives to help against the Taliban...so he should be allowed to stay.
Doesn't mean you have to let everyone in.

always a Norwood boy, where ever I live.

That fellow risked his life to try and overthrow the Taliban to help us and would be welcome here or anywhere in the West much like the Gurkhas should have free rein to come and live in the UK to reward their loyalty and undying bravery supporting our own troops for decades.

This situation is a world away from expecting us to welcome a 'refugee child' that arrives here with a full beard and fcuk knows what religious/ideological intentions!

Are all refugee children like that? No. But you will use it as an argument against any being allowed in.

The daily mail wins again.

These are the sort of refugees we should be fast tracking through immigration (also the Gurkhas)

Of course a long serving Muslim US Military officer caused the first US troop casualties of the Iraq War....

I quite agree some people shouldn't be, some people should be. And that's a reasonable system - A case by case basis, in which each applicants grounds are reviewed.

And that's exactly why you can't have a blanket ban. Yes, we should take refugees, even child refugees, and the idea situation is to have been doing this years ago, from the camps, when people were arriving and you could verify who they were.

Rather than five or six years later.

Well first and foremost, I believe anyone who serves more than say 10-20 years in a UK based supporting position (not necessarily the Gurkhas, translators, key embassy staff and so on) should be eligible to apply for British Citizenship (or granted it as part of their mustering out, leaving package).

Of course, its worth noting that not all translators and support staff, including Afghan military recruits, are 'anti-Taliban'. You can be certain that among their numbers are Taliban 'intelligence assets'.

Because that's generally how infiltration works, you get people on the 'inside' that can obtain information and work with the enemy.

Say what you will about Trump, but he's sticking to his campaign promises and getting things done. Strange having such a honest politician on the world stage!

Only if you change the meaning of honest to sticking to their delusional rejection of reality
