The problem with Wilf, other than him spending the last 15 months desperately trying to leave and being a bit of a dick about it, is that he has become fairly ineffective for us because teams know they can double/treble up on him and we haven't got the weapons elsewhere to punish them. It wasn't the case when we had Bolasie on the other side which is why they both did so well but, if we're being honest, Andros is a million miles from peak Bolasie. Obviously Fraser being pursued as a replacement but imagine if we ended up with both. Fraser on the left and Wilf on the right could cause absolute carnage.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Are you including his move to Man Utd( a big stage )where he failed, then went on loan to Cardiff. Then we took him back and gave him a chance to flourish. Is that the Roy that has kept in the Premier with ease for the last 3 seasons with very squad investment. Lombardo was the most talented player in the past 50 years to wear a Palace shirt. He only ‘failed’ as you chose to see it as, Moyes rocked up and clearly not only screwed Wilf over but put Man U back 5 years, Cardiff seriously think Wilf would perform for those clowns. As for Roy did you watch any games in the Season .. what was it 31 goals ?. We stayed up as there were 3 worse teams .. not because of Stella football, Yes Lombardo was for the season or so he was here, but Wilf has given what 14 years to this club ..

My biggest hope is that he stays because without him we are going to be relegated for sure, unless the board spends more money than they ever have before. Only Palace fans would be keen to sell their best ever player.

I thought we finished 14th, so there were 6 worse teams than us! You agree that Lombardo was the most talented player to wear the shirt, how long for isn't a crieria .

It’s all very quiet on the Zaha front. Probably means one of two things. 1) no-one is interested because he is too expensive. This has to be the first time in 4 or 5 windows that the press haven’t been all over this like a rash and I am surprised there are no reported offers as yet. It may well be that even the bigger teams are looking to offload before spending big and as of yet there seems to have been little sign of such transfer activity. It may all happen in a flurry, or it may not happen at all.

My dream ticket would be Traore (who might be on the way out from Wolves) on the right and Zaha on the left. That really would be back to the Zaha/Bolasie (at peak) days, but alas only affordable if we sold Wilf, I would imagine.

Wolves are competing for the top six. We are in the premier to make up the numbers!

If we haven't had serious bids when the Saints game comes around around will Roy play him?

Wilf is still picking up around 500k a month, so while he is here he needs to earn it. Wilf might also see it as his last chance to impress if no offers are fothcoming.

He was still one of our highest performing players according to whoscored etc. He still carried the ball more than any other player and completed more runs and passes than almost every other player in his worst season with us. As for the disruptive influence, you have just pulled that out of your @rsehole.
