I’m bored with it now. His contract’s run out, he let it run out (no one else - a contract was on the table) and waiting for him to say what he’s doing is potentially holding up other transfers we could and should be doing.

He goes with my blessing for being the best player I’ve seen in a Palace shirt in almost 50 years of going and I hope he gets a chance at the level he wants. However, it’s time to draw a line under this, say goodbye and move on. Withdraw the offer and start using his wages to facilitate other purchases. If he wants to come back then he renegotiates with what’s left IF we haven’t replaced him. In business no one in indispensable and what happens from here is on him.

It may be that he has a contract with someone else or that he has agreed to stay but this ‘is he,’ ‘isn’t he’ bollox is just dull and frankly we need to continue to build the squad or make an announcement either way. It’s like all this CG nonsense - let’s just move on.

I too am rather bored by this now. I don't mind if he stays (perhaps a slight preference), or goes but it would be good to know one way or the other.
Regardless of this, we desperately need a good striker so I'd like to see some action on that front.The Club needs to show some serious intent, so we fans can be convinced that they are trying to take us forward to become regular top ten contenders.

Helmet46 is right, the team played better without him in the team, we need a new younger more unselfish right footed left winger, Nelson, Clarke, Hudson odoi, Gnonto, Sarr, Tresor just to name a few, if Wilf Signs a two year contract on his current salary, thats 13.5m plus signing on fee 5m?, time for change.

Wilf, you have been a great servant, kept us in the division, but it is time to move on.
You have a mural to celebrate your feats at Palace & show how much you are appreciated.
However take the £45 million & go and play Saudi football & have a fun time with A.F.C. Croydon hopefully rising up the divisions.
Palace need to move on, sign replacements & ready ourselves for the coming season which is always going to be tough for a club our size.
Maybe you will be back in a coaching role at some point.
