I reckon that we are going to be stuck with a demoralised Wilf who only shows-up occasionally like last season, when we should have sold him a year ago for a sensible price and invested in players who actually want to be here

If we get Fraser and Wilf doesn't show up, he should end up on the bench, which should be the quickest way to motivate him if he wants out in Jan 21.

My impression was that we'd have to sell Wilf to finance the buying of Fraser. Is that not so?

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

I wonder if the answer is that we consider loaning Wilf out with a right to buy at £80 million. We get a loan fee and his wages Paid. He gets chance to impress a new club and get transfer he appears to want. We get the financial freedom to bring in other players and hopefully become less predictable. Plus there is a chance we will get the fee we want(need because of Man U clause)

No club on this earth is going to pay £80 million for him. What if he goes to a new club and they don't want to buy him at the end of the loan?

We end up with a 28 year old Zaha, whose value would have diminished even more so than it has over the past year.

Our biggest hope is he goes abroad, maybe PSG and we get circa £40 million for him, at best.

My biggest hope is that he stays because without him we are going to be relegated for sure, unless the board spends more money than they ever have before.

Only Palace fans would be keen to sell their best ever player.
Other clubs are strengthening and we are going backwards.

No. Fraser is a freebie. It's a question of wages and any 'signing on' fee.

I disagree. We showed last year that we can survive comfortably with a fairly mediocre Zaha. If we do get Fraser plus a couple of others (and a couple of decent loans), we should be OK irrespective of whether Wilf goes or stays.

As a current Head Coach of an EFL club said to me yesterday "There is no such thing as a free transfer" when I was mentioning clubs in the lower divisions that have signed players on a 'Free'.

He doesn't want to be here, and he has made that quite clear for the past 2 years now.

^^ he’s one of the most talented players Ive ever seem in red n blue, of course he wants to play on the biggest stage so to speak, unfortunately palace can’t give him that , let’s not forget what he has done for the club in the last 10 years or so.

Roy and is mind numbing tactics have driven us to the brink not Wilf.

Are you including his move to Man Utd( a big stage )where he failed, then went on loan to Cardiff. Then we took him back and gave him a chance to flourish.

Is that the Roy that has kept in the Premier with ease for the last 3 seasons with very squad investment.

Lombardo was the most talented player in the past 50 years to wear a Palace shirt.

That would be the PSG who have Mbappe, Di Maria, and Neymar? lol
