Listening to Radio 5 this morning and the Sports News lead with the fact that Arsene Wenger might come back to football soon but not as a Manager. Was there really so little going on in the world of sports that the lead story was a nothing story about an ex football manager that most of us had forgotten about

Don't worry it will change next week.

But a demographic will always push for the most they will get.....and we know that a large proportion of the media will support them.....because it gets those angry female clicks.

When it comes to money professional sport is the same as entertainment it has nothing to do with ability and is all about bums on seats. There are plenty of lousy groups such as the Spice Girls who can't sing, play or write music. They do however earn shed loads of money because the public want to see them (god knows why). Women should be paid the market rate which means what the public are prepared to pay. If they win the world cup it will certainly raise their profile but eventually it still comes back to are the public that bothered.
