It could all be a ploy to get rid of ManU's sell on clause. He becomes a free agent, therefore ManU lose their right to any sell on. We re-sign and sell him on and keep the full amount.

He would have been worth a high fee a couple of years ago, but probably not now. Thirty is the cut off point for wingers more or less. The last old one I can remember, who was still any good, Robben.

Lazy journalism re sell on clause. It was only valid for the length of the contract he signed when he left them. Also why has no journalist simply asked him what he is doing ? I suspect the reality is he will be a free agent and therefore any top club that still needs a striker AFTER the window closes, could still sign him. If nobody then comes in he will take the deal from Palace and good luck to him.

The Man Utd sell on clause will in my opinion not die as he is extending ie no break. If he was to not resign for a few days it would be debatable. My view is club already know what he is doing hence lack of transfer activity.

Nobody wants him - expensive, petulant, best days behind him. I cannot remember a single game against a top 6 side where he has played well. Love him to bits, but he needs to wake up and smell the coffee.
