Well that medical update was a big nothing, wasn't it? Seems to me that the Trump campaign are politicising his illness by raising expectations of BIG news, then delaying it by 30 mins so everyone is having to hang on. For nothing! If they play those games then expect the other side to join in. Calm down if you carry on like this until November you will make yourself ill.

So what facts did I get wrong. You said it I told you to give it a rest, so basically I was replying to a comment made by you! What am I missing here? Edited by Spiderman (03 Oct 2020 6.38pm) That should I have done so a comment I regard as inaccurate would have been allowed to stand without challenge. I did not bring up the subject but when it was and false claims made about it again, did you really expect me to just ignore it? I cannot believe anyone else would just stand back in such circumstances. Would you, just because I am tired of reading what I regard as your twaddle?

Calm down if you carry on like this until November you will make yourself ill. I am completely calm, but thanks for the concern. If you don't think the forthcoming US election is important and worth taking an interest in then we clearly see things very differently.

Edited by Stirlingsays (03 Oct 2020 7.34pm) Just for the record I have absolutely no time at all for the organisation which calls itself "Black Lives Matter", so there's no chance of me doing what you suggest. I want to remove skin colour from the debate and not draw attention to it. I am though in tune with the sentiment which lies behind the phrase "black lives matter".

Don’t read it then, it’s not compulsory I suggest you take your own advice and stop complaining. As others will have read the comment I responded to I will decide for myself whether I wish to respond. Whether you read it is your choice.

Sure, within his age group the risks are higher, but not significantly if you are in good health. I don't know of anyone on the boards who suggested that absolutely nothing should have been done, especially for the elderly ill and vulnerable.....just not the 'destroying half the economy' lock-down we undertook. In terms of Trump getting ill, I'd suggest it's less likely than him fighting it off without drama as on the face of it he isn't frail. We shall see. Not significantly? Under 65s the CFR is 1%. You do the ‘math’. I make it 8 times higher
