I agree that it’s time for Parish to show some true leadership from the front and not act as a remote Mike Ashley type figure who does not engage with the club’s supporters.
Nobody is expecting him to break confidences, divulge sensitive financial information or discuss takeover speculation.
However, surely he could let the supporters know the rationale behind recent decision making and also give an outline of the future direction of the club.
This time last year we had signed AWB and Zaha on long term contracts and it was all systems go on plans for the new stand and the Academy.
One year on it looks a very different place.

It would appear that the wheels have come off.

How can the club get get into such a pickle that we are left with 3 forwards who scored the grand total of 4 goals between them last season ?
And of course 6 weeks ago we sold our right-back for £45 Million and he hasn't been replaced.

Supporters are looking for explanations on various matters and the natives are not only restless they are livid.

I think Parrish has over looked one major stumbling block to getting new investors/selling the club if we drop he won't get what he wants financially and have 20000 people calling for his head every fortnight. Noades, Goldberg, Jordan and now Parrish..why can't we get an owner who actually wants what's best for this club and not use it as a private source of revenue. The report that CSKA would have accepted a bid of 26 million , the players agent knew this, we surely would have and yet again we try for 3 million less, what a surprise our bid was rejected, silence from the heirarchy, probably the same old bollux about ffp in next couple of weeks being stated. If he truly is a fan he should employ a chairperson who knows what they're doing and walk away, by all means stay as our owner as it's his investment but leave the running and decision making to someone who is competent.

Thats the problem, he is egotistical and a control freak and because he is incompetent and can't make decisions he is like the Emperor with no clothes, he clearly thinks he is wonderful, even Ms Read walked away as she knew the man was not for changing!

For all of his sins I don't think that Parish is using Palace as a revenue earner as he doesn't actually take his salary and bonuses

I disagree as Parish doesn't have the funds to take us any further so he needs to sell up along with all of the other shareholders and give someone with pots of money a completely fresh start

The report that i read was that his agent said that CSKA would not have accepted any bid, as they don't want to sell him, even though he wants to play in England and regard him as having a really bright future.
Seems like a Moscow version of the Zaha saga.

And your opinion is correct. Folk on here banging on about Brighton and Bloody Bournemouth. Brighton were blessed to stay up last year and there is a good chance they will go this year.

Yeah, but Brighton have taken significant steps to address their shortcomings - they may work, they may not.

We however have had a striker issues for YEARS (plural) - issue not addressed.

We have had a known issue at LB - not addressed

Our RB was sold 5 weeks ago - not addressed.

The fact we ended up 13 points ahead of the Weed last season matters not one jot at 3pm tomorrow!

Brighton have spent nigh on £60 mill on 5 players in pre-season.

All this "we finished mid table last year with ostensibly this squad, so we'll be fine & dandy for survival this season" is getting on my nerves.

We've stood still (arguably gone backwards) & our already old squad is another year older.

I thought Mooy was a cracking bit of business.

Not convinced about Potter, but they would've gone down with CH.

Credit them for at least trying to evolve.

And we have added to the squad 34 year old Cahill only only played 8 games last season, also McCarthy who is 30 next year and who has only played 7 games in the last 2 seasons.

I think he is a pretty decent player who can score from curling free kicks around a wall.Perhaps not the quickest.I suspect our supporters would have been pleased if we had brought him in on loan.

Overpriced Championship players in the main. I don't think they have strengthened that much and it will be a tough season for them again.

I hope.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
