It does look like we are talking Sakho again with a possible deal involving an additional payment if Palace remain in the Premiership beyond 2017-18 and a buy back option if they were to be relegated! I bet SP is wringing those bindippers for all he's worth on this one! As Baldfella says 31/08/2017

Yeah, of course you are right. But what was the game at Selhurst when Ian Wright picked up the ball near corner flag and scored only goal that day?

He just makes the difference and raises the confidence around him. If we are to continue with 343 he's gonna be a vital link at the back. Sure there are other defenders just as capable for cheaper, but Sakai appear to have a talismanic something that gels us.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Hope this is true. I don't love to see the man back at SE25. I wonder if it means we can't afford to signed anybody else Parrot

The issue is Fenway and Liverpool don't need to sell, so they will hold out for the price they quote. It is becoming a game of brinkmanship with these top clubs, they don't want to be seen selling players at a cut price.

The ball in Liverpool court, we are presumably offering a structured deal, where we pay 15m upfront to Liverpool. Followed by a further 15m next summer if we retain our prem status . Should we be relegated Liverpool buy him back for 15m and then get to resale Sakho on. This way it's only costing us Sakho wages for the season and doesn't put us in danger of ffp.
