If an agreement between Mrs May and The DUP threatens the Northern Ireland peace process, then Mrs May, who is seeking such an agreement, is threatening UK national security. If this is the case and irrespective of party politics, Mrs May is wholly unsuitable as prime minister. How on earth could we ever have arrived here?

Me?, 5 countries, minimum stay 2 years and that gives me experience of how other EU countries view the EU and the UK and their local cultures. Believe it or not, the UK rarely comes up in any conversation on the continent among ordinary citizens, they get on with their lives and enjoy visiting one another, trading with one another and generally enjoying life. Whenever I visit the UK, people are generally moaning about the cost of everything, property prices, pensions, leaving the EU etc. Depressing. What's Malta like? Me and my Mrs are looking at it as a potential bolthole

Malta has a flourishing business community including IT and has benefited from its EU membership. You may have been there 25 years ago but its quite different now not that there is anything wrong in tourism or fishing anyway. I believe there is also a burgeoning online gaming industry in Malta due to its low (effective) tax rates and favourable regulation.

Don't worry. This guy has been at it the entire campaign. Has no relevant arguments so resorts to name calling and flinging insults around.

And one of the least net contributers to the eu,and surprise surprise receives one of the biggest hand outs in comparison...I can see why you like the eu so much. er, no. It's still a net receiver and everything is relative. Malta has received €1 billion since 2005 and will become a net contributor around 2019/2020 when it's GDP has reached the threshold to do so. It is not the larget net receiver of funds on a relative basis, that is Lithuania, Malta is somwhere in the middle: That's how the EU model works, fund a country with a lower GDP until its economy grows and meets the EU threshold. It then becomes a country that can be traded with and in Malta's case has a trade surplus for the last 5 years: It also has one of the lowest unemployement rates within the EU. So you are quoting what was happening in Soho in the 1960s'/1970s, nearly 50 years ago? What has that got to do with today? In the 1970s the UK was in meltdown with national strikes and power cuts, relevant for today? With regards to the mention of online gaming or iGaming/eGaming, yes Malta has the biggest industry within the EU because it has attractive corporation tax levels combines with an educated work force and a nice climate. It's a small place, so has the disadvantages of that but from a personal perspective, we'll stay here a few more years. With regards to 'liking' the EU, I made an effort to experience living in several other EU countries, most of which are in the Eurozone. Quality of life in all of the 5 countries I have lived in is higher than in the UK. Malta is one difficult to compare because it's a tiny island, so you simply don't have access to some things here but the other 4 countries were mainland Europe with similar comparable factors to the UK regarding infrastructure, access to countryside, career opportunities, taxation, health, education etc.
