Absolutely right, we're being left in the dust. We almost have a really good team - a striker and a right back and we'd all be delighted on here. Instead our dealings have been so inadequate that we're all wondering if things haven't gone very wrong behind the scenes.

You are basing your predictions on past events, give it a moment.

who got them involved, yet another Parish blunder!

Better than Agilo mind.

We are still paying financially for the Pardew days. Shipped out the core of the team and wasted the money.

Says a lot Zaha became the player he did after AP left.

The Americans have a great deal to answer too, complete disaster IMO. No understanding of football in any shape or form, We need to sort the ownership issue asap and the redevelopment urgently.

I know someone (I do business with)who knows Blitzer & Harris, by all accounts great businessmen but knew absolutely nothing about the workings of Football they had to be told the machinations of Promotion & Relegation when first dipping their toes into the CPFC waters.
The American sporting model is obviously different because know matter how bad the team is you own you don't have the financial worries of dropping down a division if you have a bad season

That is BS and people have been trying to use this story for long time.

Yes at first they may of been unsure but you don't become good business men by blindly buying into things so they would of looked into how the league etc works before hand they even pay professionals to make reports on this stuff that do know about other sports.

now some of the running side of things yes they may not understand which is why they let SP deal with that plus i expect he was feeding them a lot of stuff which was agenda driven for his benefit and now they have wised up to it seeing the truths.

Well, we see that Brighton, Watford and Bournemouth all seem to have a good working management structure that has an idea about succession planning, what it means and they get the job done, so what is wrong with expecting the same for our club, there has to be someone out there to take forward and upwards!

We finished one point behind Watford which was described by and for them as an incredible achievement, Bournemouth finished four points below us with Brighton thirteen.

It was a truly awful season wasn't it, we will perform the same again this season because we will be able to make the required adjustments during windows.

Mr Hodgson is an excellent manager for Palace, anyone who say's otherwise is just being ignorant beyond belief.

In my opinion.

Forget last season, look to the future, just take a look at the others and there succession planning and what they have done in this window and then look at our activity, we have no planning, no leadership at the top, we have acquired no striker or a defender to replace AWB. SP has once again left us stranded with a weak team and little quality cover for any injuries over the first half of the season. We will struggle big time this year and will be lucky if we are not in the bottom three comments the end of the season.

I do think most fans here will agree with you, Roy has done an excellent job keeping us up with the cards he has been dealt. We like the Manager are frustrated with the lack of leadership and planning for the teams future, this was echoed by Roy on yesterday when he explained to the press how unhappy Wilf is with Parish et-al. Both our Chairman & DOF do not seem to have the know how or skills to attract exciting talent to the club, every season is the same a last minute panic in the final hours of any window with mistakes being made and us ending up with sick notes or players who no one else wants, like for example Ayew who did nothing last season when on loan went back to Swansea, they did not want him and nobody else did either and then SP/DF bring him back for 2.5m for what?

And your opinion is correct. Folk on here banging on about Brighton and Bloody Bournemouth. Brighton were blessed to stay up last year and there is a good chance they will go this year.

I agree that it’s time for Parish to show some true leadership from the front and not act as a remote Mike Ashley type figure who does not engage with the club’s supporters.
Nobody is expecting him to break confidences, divulge sensitive financial information or discuss takeover speculation.
However, surely he could let the supporters know the rationale behind recent decision making and also give an outline of the future direction of the club.
This time last year we had signed AWB and Zaha on long term contracts and it was all systems go on plans for the new stand and the Academy.
One year on it looks a very different place.
