Meyer has quick feet and can turn on a sixpence. Following the West Ham game, several posters have said he can't tackle. However, he apparently made more tackles than any other Palace player yesterday. Stats may not give the whole picture but the team seem livelier when he's on the pitch. He needs a few more starts to show if he can make the grade, but I'm cautiously optimistic that he will improve with match experience. Ayew was written off last season when he was only used as a substitute but has benefited from more game time.

He looks like an old fashioned number 10 but that's not much use to us sadly.

I was surprised he went off but in the end proved the right call.

I believe that against Southampton it is likely he will start on the right as he did against W.Ham with Ayew playing centrally and Wickham on the bench but of course I could be wrong. In terms of Southampton, Redmond has been working down the left but they of course could move him to the right to try an expose Riedewald.Southampton have found form, winning 4 of their last 6 games so this is a tough match for us.

After sustaining that bad foul v Arsenal yesterday, he got straight back up and made no attempt to retaliate or harangue the ref. Perhaps a lesson there for Wilf.

I hope he is okay. Just when he was getting in the starting line-up (admittedly largely due to injuries to others) he gets hacked out of two games - Derby last week and Arsenal yesterday.

This is something that the gooner fan (t***s) have overlooked seeing as after the red card, when palace fouled the gooners, their players all got round the ref waving the imaginary card. I didnt think we were that dirty on sat. I thought the ref was terrible again tho. COYP

All our players got hacked out every single time they ventured too far forward when catching them off guard, all teams do it of course but this part of the game needs to be addressed I feel because it is denying excitement and goals which is what the game is and was invented for.
