This.

And it is a punt, with the whole system built on hearsay and pump and dump strategies. Just need to time it right, but as it's so irrational and based on emotion rather than logic it is hard to do.

The 'traditional' money system may or may not adapt to technology in the long term, but even if it doesn't there is no guarantee whatsoever that any coin or system in existence right now will be 'the one'.

My current bet is on the technology being adapted and fitted into the existing money system. As far as I can see it's the only viable way that it can be made useful, accessible and trustworthy to the masses.

Arguably all the historical data in the world won’t help you predict any market in any case.

Obviously you may well be right, but as more people realise that they can make electronic transactions 'peer to peer', ie with no need for a middle-man (bank/transfer system) taking a cut therefore dealing directly with other parties with no additional expense, the better. Electronic cash protected by the blockchain ie maths, not cronies.
The Swift system adds around 2-3% for every transaction. 99million dollars worth of Litecoin was recently sent at a cost of 40cents.
This isn't about 'integrating' with the current system that robs us, it's about obliterating it for ever and for the better.
Build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.
For many reasons, half of the world is 'un-banked'. Crypto-currency allows us all to be our own banker. You just need a phone.

Well done to all those who bought Litecoin in January at 22dollars, you've 4x your investment

Still a good time to buy.

Now 6x. Well done
Not an untidy start to the year given the 2018 bear but expecting even better returns in the next 6 months.
Off for a couple of weeks in the sun but remember, it's still a good time to buy.

You sometimes get knocked for your bitcoin and litecoin advocacy for one reason or another, but more often than not there's been a tidy profit there. If you'd been picking shares on here and they'd been up this much you'd be seen as a savant . Granted digital currency is a bit more of a rocky ride at times, but the lesson appears to be that if you sit tight and don't panic, you'll reap the rewards.

Litecoin was recommended by TUX at $220 at the end of 2017, and was predicted to fly in 2018. Last price I can see is $127 - be careful.

Indeed. ‘A good time to buy’ applies at all times, it would seem. I wonder why? Perhaps he holds a lot of currency? Perhaps a lot of Litecoin?

Also you don’t need to be a savant to make money out of crypto. Just look for the early signs of a pump and then set a reasonable SL for the dump. Binance being a prime example - bit of media buzz and a big initial jump in price, everyone gets on the pump and hype train until it pops. Already up 100% but have set a reasonable SL for when it comes crashing down.
