What you have hit on here, inadvertently or not, I'm not sure, is the need to have room to manoeuvre with monetary policy and Keynesian policy after such economic crises. This was a major point for trying to conserve what manoeuvrability we had left in 2010, versus add Balls and Cambridge who both wanted to spend out of the global situation right there and then.

I felt they were wrong then because the risk was big. I think they're more right now but who really knows? I dislike both extremes and would ideally prefer the balanced and responsible Keynesian economics but both parties are poles apart making Leicester winning the premier league again more likely.

This is true but she won't be leading the Tories into another election. It'll be someone with talent, charisma, policies, ability to cross part debate on tv, and not an introverted loaner.
