Whatever way you look at it, he decided to go ahead, and each person makes their own choice. Maybe he thought that his brother would have wanted him to go ahead?

I hope he comes back in great form and fitness, and makes a big impact for Palace over the next couple of years

I would think he’s staying.
His contract expires today and he’s had more than enough time to line up another club if he was leaving.
It doesn’t seem the bigger clubs have been fighting over him and the rumoured interest from PSG and Arsenal doesn’t appear to have materialised.
I suspect he already has some sort of verbal agreement with Palace in place and that it will be announced that both Hodgson and Zaha will staying in the coming days.

Hope he stays as he's still our biggest goal threat and in my opinion, still our best player.

However, the contract needs to be sensible. £150k pw for a three year contract I can stomach. As others have said, if he's being paid disproportionately more than the rest of squad, it could cause disharmony.
