Perhaps it's the reason we don't work together with other countries and have a common policy which allowed the the problem in Calais to fester. We should agree to the UN Migration pact the it should solve the problem Calais clearly a French problem. Seeing as how Europe is so great, why haven't we got a shanty town at Folkestone full of people desperate to get to France?

Because that would have involved migrants coming to this country or Ireland first. Look at the map. Can you see any physical, logistical reason why this might not happen? Migrants want to come here if they have a connection e.g. a strong settled Iranian population draws their relatives and friends. However, the vast majority of migrants have more connections in Sweden, Germany etc. and have no interest whatever in coming here. To describe this as a "migrant crisis" is red top bollox. It's a manageable trickle that will have absolutely no negative impact on the lives of anyone.

That's what the supporters of mass migration told the country back when mass migration started after WW2. The reality is that the more you let in the more 'connections' exist. We already have a city's worth coming in every few years. It's a drip drip, frog in ever so slowly heating water affect......and then suddenly demographic projections have the long term English being a minority in their own country by 2050. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Jan 2019 11.05am) you seen the video footage of the arrivals to UK Ports on the Windrush ? nearly 99% men. plus ca change, plus c'est la meme. the only significant difference today is our lefty Mainstream Media will find the 0.001% of female refugees at Calais and put them on the telly talking about how they wish to travel to London to see the Queen. Edited by PalazioVecchio (10 Jan 2019 12.19pm) Yep, let Muma Merkel take them.....after successfully raising the rape statistics in Germany her work is done and she's apparently stepping down in a couple of years......She's be living far away from the problems she created though won't she. Though to be fair, I'd have that refugee in the news the other day....the ex Muslim who is scared for her life. Mind you.....I'd have to advise her not to settle in Birmingham or places like that.
