Can't be long to go now. Most ridiculous situation that only Palace could be in. Other star players have left other teams for free this window - Lerma an obvious one. They obviously made it clear what was happening. This smacks of indulgence. Sometimes you think Wilf has earned it but has he? It's not loyalty when you get 100k a week. Its strange to think of by Saturday, Wilf will not be a Palace player anymore, a free agent, dosent mean he wont sign for us though.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

If he's technically out of contract, why would he be training with us? Genuine question including is he still under contract for a couple months or something?

Edit: I've just seen that he has 1 day left on his contract. Very interesting indeed. Alongside involvement with Croydon. Would his staying be contingent on us showing some ambition in the summer (new players). We'll see I suppose.
