The NSC is always a decent visit for a laugh. Sorry but the link I wanted to attach wouldn’t work. Check out the last 4 or 5 pages of their match thread for some interesting views on our win and an entertaining photo fit picture of Roy.

I don't get these Palace fans that post on the NSC but I will admit it is comedy gold reading on there!!

They really are the biggest bunch of self righteous, stuck up, pathetic mummy's boys!!

I honestly do not think we are any better. Lesson to be learnt.

Agree, Just look at the Roy out thread,
The number of Palace 'fans' expecting top ten positions playing 'entertaining' football with the budget , the squad, and the amount of injuries we have is just embarrassing.
If you call yourself a Palace fan and were not entertained on Monday night then you are not a Palace fan, as you are not a Palace fan if you found it lucky or embarrassing.
I would rather play effective football that keeps us in the top flght , giving our club a high profile and the chance to attract better players and the opportunity for us fans to see the top teams in the world for as long as possible, than play lovely football as Brighton may well do.
Eventually of course, we will probably get relegated as all clubs apart from the big six and Everton do , but the best chance we have of growth and maybe getting a squad strong enough to get into Europe via a cup win or a great season is hanging in on there and enjoying the ride.

I’m feeling sorry for Brighton now, I must be going soft in the head. I feel like it’s our duty to do them a favour today against Fulham.

It’s a bit like going to the bookies to collect your winnings and it’s a big payout, I always give the cashier a drink. They look at you with those sorrowful eyes, well that’s f***ing Brighton behind the counter.

Come on let’s do it for Brighton, let’s do it because they are sure are incapable of doing it for themselves....

To summarize: too many Palace fans expect better, we will probably be relegated at some stage, but at the same time we may get into Europe. Makes perfect sense.

So I am not a Palace fan because I thought that Monday night was a disgrace?
I am not a Palace fan because I want Hodgson to leave?
Maybe I am not a Palace fan because I don't agree with you?
I was pleased we won but took no satisfaction from the result nor most of our football over the last year.
I pay a fortune to watch in the hope of a small amount of entertainment and would rather get that in a lower division than suffer this boring rubbish every week.

Agreed.

I enjoyed the game after the final whistle if that makes sense. Criticism of the manager and the players is perfectly acceptable that doesn't make you any lesser of a fan and in some ways it makes you more. We should strive to be a better side otherwise what's the point of being in the PL.

Before I say the main thing in response to your post, I must make clear:
1) I enjoyed the result Monday and the last minute winner when I was hoping and praying we could hang on for a draw
2) I enjoyed the commitment of our players to try and keep the ball out of our net. They had a real "they shall not pass" attitude and as a fan I love that in players.
3) I can't say I enjoyed the game because we were constantly under pressure and I feared we were going to get turned over.

Now to the main point:
Quite simply, who on earth do you think you are to decide who is and who isn't a CPFC fan?

We all have different pysches, began watching Palace in different periods of the club's history and have different desires regarding what we want to see from our team.

I started watching in the 70s during the season we got relegated to the third division (73/74). We didn't win our first game until the 17th game of the season (and that was away). Our first home win came in December. We were poor game-in, game-out and yet I still became hooked. Perhaps I quickly became conditioned to us playing poor football.

I don't expect too much from my team, hence my nickname. Others will have different expectations. But we're all fans in our different ways, so don't diss people because they see things differently to you.

I didn't pick this up from the TV coverage yesterday but apparently, after that disallowed free kick and Dunk asking "Can I take it quickly ref" the other 10 Brighton players and the 11 West Brom players all started singing
He said no, Lewis, he said no
He said no, Lewis, he said no..........

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.
