Will never be able to take the moral high ground again . Money talks, you watch mega money coming from Saudi for tv rights very soon.

That's half the issue, they have been screening on Saudi TV without paying for the rights, just stealing from Bein TV. What makes you think they will start paying now?

Amazing to here that the quatari's are complaining that the Saudi's might ruin the English football. The crux of their complaint is that Saudi aren't respecting their TV rights... Those Quatari are so honourable.

By all rights the PL should say no because the Saudi regime is a nasty one plus they are illegally streaming PL games which is robbing the PL of revenue. However as the Saudis are not an embargoed country like Iran it is difficult to justify selling them arms whilst blocking this deal. The sooner this country has energy independence the sooner we can tell the likes of the Saudis and other bye bye.

Totally agree but politics and politicians are in general s**t, run by psychopaths, money always speaks louder but then some of us vote them in and complain after. So it will be what it will be.

We all let them get away with human rights violations in their country because it's better than allowing the Iranian's/Iraqi's or Russians to gain control of Saudi oil reserves. Keep funding Israel too to allow things to stay a bit on edge all the time.

No money and no source for generating it.

Nice idea but I'm afraid oil and it's bi-products plays a major part in most of the products the west consume be it plastics, clothing, electronics, building materials, even in our food.

An interesting theory, would we be self sufficient for oil in the UK if we got rid of vehicles using it? We actually have s*** loads of oil but of a higher grade. Is that going to work for industrial uses?
