So who's attacking over the barrier then? and does anyone know whether that poor bloke getting a kicking at the beginning is brum or palace??

I must say this is pretty shocking stuff

'oh and it's Hopkin, looking to curl one!!..............absolutely amazing!!, half a minute to go and Crystal Palace have done to Sheffield United what Leicester did to them a year ago'

Although Birmingham were fighting each other, that bloke was definitely Palace - believe it or not he stayed on his feet and walked away after!

apparently there were 'pitched battles' outside before, during & after the game involving palace and brum nutters with palace coming out on top for a bit then getting smashed by brums superiour numbers.

I was in the Arthur Wait for that game and just remember merry hell breaking out.
I came up Thornton Heath high st and just remember the Wilton Arms was packed of Brum in fancy dress i was p***d of because i couldn`t get a pint.
It was funny when a bloke in a fairy outfit came steaming in the palace end and gave us some stick.
I will admit they certainly took us over that day.
I thought we had to win 5.0 and were 4.0 up after half an hour and that`s what triggered it all off.
I to hate Brum for this day and had no affection for them ever since.(Because i couldn`t get a beer).

The thing I find most scary about this is that it is nearly fifteen years ago, must be one of the most talked about last games of a season.

The other one find memorable was the last match standing on the Holmesdale (A loss to Watford I think). The place was dismantled after the final whistle. I remember all sorts being carried a long South Norwood High Street.
