Quite like this new academy prospect, Zaha.

He'll have to shut the f**k up though......

FT 0-1

What an entertaining game & the 2nd half, the 'kids' didn't do their prospects any harm at all. All looked comfortable on the ball & in the new system PV wants.

Looking good for the season to come(imo)

Just been mentioned, JP Mateta IS on the bench, why it wasn't published I have no idea.

He was in the video clips of the squad training at St Georges, so he's been around. From memory, Mateta was looking absolutely fecked after some light jogging, but I'm sure that was just the camera angle or something.

Good start to the pre-season. Plenty of youth on show in the second half, first team controlled the first half and a good Zaha goal.

Off we go.. COYP.

I'm not so sure. He looked shattered in that training video to me and that may be why PV went with the youngster Street up front in the first half in what otherwise was a virtually full-strength 1st XI (of those available) and why Mateta only got less than 20 mins towards the end of the game.

He did seem like he was being lapped by one or two of the kids in that video!

I should think its far too early to read anything into anything though.

Anyone know the second half line up?
