I've wondered why for many, many years as an avid football fan, why it is I feel very little passion for my home national team. Sure it's great for the 'feel good factor' of our country but personally it really doesn't bother me in the slightest if we lose this evening. Compare that to watching Palace in an important game, the twitchy nerves, sweaty palms, willing us to score or defend a lead - well, there just is no comparison. However, reading posts on here today, seems I'm not alone. I would suggest that you maybe an avid Palace fan, but you aren’t an avid football fan. Football fans support 2 teams generally, their club team and their country. If it really doesn’t bother you in the slightest if England win or lose tonight, this isn’t a dig, I genuinely feel sorry for you.

I’m fu*king buzzing for tonight. After tomorrow will see what’s going on with Palace ins and outs. With St George in my heart keep me English.

Not sure if n wales eagers specifically said that 'he' wanted Italy to win (unless I'm misreading), but it ridiculous and offensive that so many Welsh and Scottish revel in England losing. Fair play if it's actually against either of those teams, but Italy ffs!

Gareth played 152 games for Palace scoring 15 goals between 1988 and 1995 - 7 years the longest he spent at any club - but only a Villa player? Are you for real..!! COYP I was being facetious. What the media report. Please catch up.

Anyway gutted for England I do find it bizarre that the home nations all like to see each other lose but would call it offensive.
