He might, possibly, perhaps, maybe do a reasonable holding job until, say, Dyche ends his contract with Burnley next year. You can tell I'm by no means sold on the idea.

We know nothing about the machinations going on inside Mr Parish's bunker and, frankly, I'm happy to wait it out until he makes his decision. Whatever it is, he will believe it to be best for our club.

That's good enough for me.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

It's a really awful suggestion, that if it hadn't been for When Eagles Dare would be shouted down by just about everyone.

Other than for that 3/4 months with us and a similar spell with Bolton, he's proven to be a substandard championship manager. The events were the best part of a decade ago for us and a hell of a lot has happened since. He hasn't managed for 5 years and would be an idiot to want to do it as he's relatively safe job would change to one in which he'll possibly be sacked from within 3 months.

I really like to think as a team we have moved away from this kind of appointment. We should be a big enough catch to get a Howe, Lampard etc on board or if not a decent foreign manager. If we can't then Parish and Dougie must be doing something wrong.

If i saw him gambling in a casino, I'd copy him if i could.
he's 1 lucky bugger, getting out of jail with his managers throughout the prem.
(lets hope it dont run out!)

How true! He’s been a jammy so and so in so many ways. Good luck to him; You make your own luck, and all that. But I do wonder if this has encouraged him to be a little bit too cavalier and might ultimately prove to be his (and our) undoing.

As you say, let’s hope his luck doesn’t run our.

Ain't this the truth, it's fair to say he gambled a lot, by doing things on the cheap and so far it's paid off.

We now need to go tried and tested and you get what you pay for... just look at Moyes. however, we also need to redevelop the whole infrastructure at the club.

We need a vision, alardyce for me.

Someone already suggested the cleaner but yes, if the caretaker is available then appoint him. “Knows the club inside out” apparently!

Yet another Parish sycophant. He can never do any wrong. To have ended up with 13 players out of contract is an absolute disgrace, which is making us less attractive to a new manager. But of course it is all Dougie or Roy's fault or anyone else!!!

I assume that you're either a Brighton fan or a WUM or even both
