Will Roy try anything different for this one?
Or will it be damage limitation?

I suspect the latter. 0-1.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Poor old Roy is so fixed with his ideas an clearly incapable of changing any approach at the end of his career.
Can see a significant defeat at the hands of a brilliant City side, who even if they have played three times in the last week, would still get a result

I think if we can hold out for the first 15-30, we may get a result.

In fact if we can get beyond that to a full minute, I'll be quietly confident.

If we're like we were against Chelsea and 2 behind in 10 minutes I dread to think what might happen.

I reckon we'll lose 4-0.

Will we get in their penalty box?

A BIG EYE WATERING........NO
Damage limitation..you’ve joking
Outside chance that he might replace Cahill for Dann if Cahill is fit , but it will be the same trustworthy faces same tactics. Defend defend defend I can’t see anything but 0:4 win to City

With practicality everyone fit again, I reckon we'll go ultra defensive with 2 banks of 4, that's 2 banks of 4 defenders.

Guaita

Ward
Kouyate
Cahill (if fit)
PVA

Clyne
Sakho
Tomkins
Mitchell

Benteke
Ayew

I'm feeling optimistic of at least getting a point and I think Wilf will be itching to score in this one.

City are on the back of their Dortmund win with a Mahrez pen and a late Phil Foodstamp winner. Pep will likely do his usual rotation of players and he hates playing us.

I'm not saying we will win, but I can't see us getting slammed.

1 - 1 draw

Mine's a light and bitter.

The old 8-0-2, short passing in our own area would surprise Pep and at least be a talking point. Benteke and Ayew could do a dance or something. Same result as we would get but with more laughs thrown in.

Agreed - I expect no change in personnel (unless injury dictates it) more defensive negative football with anything less than 0-4 being regarded by Roy as a good outcome .
We will probably sit back and let the best team in the league have the ball so I expect sound thrashing - but as ever, will tune in hoping we come out on the front foot and get right in their faces, don’t give them any time on the ball and show them that we can also play some good stuff.

I'm hoping he'll throw caution to the wind and be adventurous. Our chances of getting something from the game are slim and we're safe from the drop.

Try an offensive setup Roy. Go on, be a devil.
