With thay buy alone, we would have spent nore than Brighton. We spent a lot too, but we had sales as well(AWB comes to mind). But Brighton will have a great financial future too, people who analyse finances know they promoted players who will be sold for a lot more (Trossard, Maupay, Connolly, McAllister, Lamptey, March, Dan Burn). They also have some very exciting loanees at a very young age (Gyokeres etc.) We most certainly did not have players of the highest level in the squad when we first came up & at no point have we been anywhere near those numbers. £240m net is serious money in anyone’s book and scraping for survival on it Isn’t acceptable.
