I think we'll survive this season. We did enough early on, but next season I see the trap door looming unless we get things sorted out - like goodbye Harris and Blitzer...

Just to clarify my response was to Patrick V's post
Yes.
"I think 37/38 points may be enough although we don't have the benefit of a better goal difference this season.
It's been a poor quality division in my view.
The key is getting the injured players, in particular Wilf back.
Even though Mcarthur has not had a great season, he is arguably still our best midfield player.
Tomkins is probably our most consistent central defender.
And Zaha and Schlupp are our only players that enable us to manage transitions with pace and drive"

I feel it is based on the next two games.

If we deserve to stay up, we beat them - we stay up on our own hard work.

We beat Brighton, we beat Fulham and the gap is too big to over haul, in my opinion.

6 points in next two games gives us 35 points, with 12 games left and a gap of 13 points from Fulham.

Will Fulham be able to average over a point for the remainder of the season? It can happen, but unlikely...
The last two seasons have been write offs in my mind... one was wrecked via lockdown and a horrendous finish... this season is just all over the shop...

We need a plan this summer, we need a future, we need a squad and we need a leader.

This was once a quality forum....

Yes, of course.

Doesn't mean we don't need a change in the summer.

But we've done enough this time round to stay up.

Yes, we will stay up but we'll be in 16th or 17th place and the next 2 months will be a roller-coaster.

We will definitely stay up because if we lose tonight and then against Fulham I expect Roy will be replaced by Eddie Howe or whoever and they will get us the required points. The only way we will go down is if we keep losing and nothing is done about it, which is never going to happen.

Can't see Eddie Howe taking over or anyone in that situation.Too much to lose nothing to gain. Now starting to think that parrish will stick with Roy until end of season whatever the situation. Then start rebuild pre season whatever division we find ourselves in.

Yes, get some injured players back and we will do it with games to spare.

Are there any other teams out there which have nearly had their entire first team out injured for the best part of 3 seasons...
