He has been manager of Maidenhead Utd for a few years.
They were 6th in the 'National League' before the season was suspended due to Lockdown.
Wolves signed Max Kilman from the club.

Andy Johnson, scrap heap at Birmingham.
Valerian Ismael, purchased by us, flopped, had a great career.

Ismael had a good career, but maybe not a great one. He went back to France after leaving us and knocked about in their top flight for several mid sized clubs, then did well enough at a couple of mid table German sides to get a move to bayern Munich, but he wasn't there very long and didn't play very much.

He has, however, played for Bayern Munich far more times than I have, so I'll pipe down. He certainly did well enough to go on the list alongside Collymore and Powell.

Whilst plenty of players have moved on to greater things from Palace, very few indeed have done so having been undervalued or dumped by us, which is what I think the op was asking.

Perhaps they do know what they're doing after all...

Stephen Hunt went on to play in over 400 games after he left us, including those in the PL.

Steve Coppell signed him for both Brentford and Reading.

Lewis Grabban is one we let go, he has a very good goal scoring history with several clubs outside the premier league.

We wanted to keep him apparently. He was waiting for a break behind AJ, Morrison, and Freedman?

But Grabban was too impatient and went to Millwall.

Seems a shame as just after he left we had some injuries and he would have got a chance.

Didn't come across well on Sunderland til I die.

Stephen Hunt... remember him coming on as a 17 year old against Fulham away and getting booked.

There's a world of difference between releasing a player ( which I think the OP was referring to ) and a player leaving us on a transfer.

For example, Ian Wright - not released, but demanded a transfer....

Yes, precisely and very annoying.

But they paid four million for him, if he cost them nothing then yes he would've been a good shout, regardless he has been our biggest mistake in not playing to date.

We sold him for £150,000, we didn't let him go.

If my memory serves me right, which it doesn't on many occasions, we paid £3.5 Mill for McCarthy during the time Pardew was manager.

He was certainly criticised for his performances for us, in particular not parrying away from the 'Danger zone' when making saves and Claude Puel signed him for Southampton for £4 Mill.He certainly seems a far more accomplished goalkeeper now than he was during his time with us.

It was Kenny Jackett who signed him for Millwall.

Good candidate played more top games then he did with us and scored quite a few after leaving us for free, sadly injuries hindered him.
