we knew what we were getting with Sakho - an expensive player, probably too expensive for us, who on his day is great, but is too inconsistent, has moments of madness and has a poor injury record. Don't forget he was a SP signing - bought between de Boer leaving and Roy joining. Now we have 3 ageing centre backs (Tomkins, Dann and Cahill) who are all slow and repeatedly injured. Yet Sakho still can't get a game. Speaks volumes. If WBA want him on loan we have to let him go, simple as that.

Equally, I can well imagine Roy being very direct with him - would not put up with a lot of issues from someone who seems well past their best and may well be a somewhat divisive figure. I was pissed off with that game too, but he had just back from a long lay off into an incredibly hard fixture, he is far better than than the players Roy is currently picking

A few on this thread have made comment about how good a 'focused' Sakho would be and I agree... However, therein lies the problem... We will never ever see a 'focused' Sakho... A real shame because on his day he is/was world class as he was when he first played for us but it's been clear for sometime now that he has just been here for the big paycheck... A poor professional in my book.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

If there's a decent fee, we offload his wages and we bring a youngster in (say Woods) or buy a young CD like that Ketchop guy, then good business.

All depends which Sakho turns up , he can be sublime but also bloody useless , lazy and injury prone. Has never played a full season or even half , I think he’s an unnecessary luxury and would let him go
