Reports this morning that with Potch coming in PSG may well make a move for Wilf. This makes more sense to me.

This is the deal PSG, but SP will be looking at bids higher than 50 million. As it stands he is better than players that have been bought for greater fees in the Premiership.

Wilf has not been beating players with such ease this season, but he probably has been more effective with the ball. To me he often looks pretty average but then suddenly changes a game in a matter of seconds. It's funny how when he used to look better he produced less goals and assists!

PSG have Mbappe, Neymar and Di Maria among others; am I missing something with regard to how Zaha would improve the first team? Squad, yes, but surely even PSG wouldn't spend 50m+ for a sub? It sounds more like Zaha is pushing his agent to stir up interest knowing week by week his chances of a move to a CL club are evaporating. However, the games against Newcastle and Burnley show we would likely struggle if he left in January, and I think that means we won't sell unless we get a silly offer.

Our results without him are simply hopeless and should he go in January, our survival prospects are diminished significantly, unless SP is willing to reinvest on a massive scale.

We all know Utd have a sell on clause. What if Palace loan Wilf to a club and get eg £10m loan fee. Do Utd get a percentage? or if we loaned players from the other club how does that work with Utd?

What, you mean like actually spending the money we get for him for a start?

This is a nonsense story.

AC Milan are not rich at all. By the time Silvio Berlusconi sold them they were struggling to compete with any of the European big clubs, and since then they've had the kind of truly bizarre boardroom episode I thought was reserved for turn of the century cpfc.

From what I can gather...

1. Rich Chinese businessman agrees to buy club.
2. Chinese government decides Chinese money can no longer leave China.
3. Rich businessman decides to proceed with purchase anyway, borrowing money from American vulture capitalist group on terms that make Goldbergs purchase from Noades look shrewd.
4. If Milan make the latter stages of the champions league every year for a decade then Chinese businessman might just be able to repay the loan.
5. Rich businessman gambles relatively big money on average players. Milan don't make the champions league. Owner forfeits repayments.
6. American vultures seize club.
7. Current coach exceeds all expectations by producing a good side. Club still very much skint, with owners who are professional asset strippers. Transfer business limited to free transfers, loans and young prospects.

I really can't see that buying Zaha for £50m - £70m fits in with this.

Indeed ... but if I was Wilf I'd still be drawn by all the free lattes and pizza.

And the women.

I was working in Milan for a short time I would stand outside my hotel in the morning watching the ladies emerge from the subway. beautiful women beautifully dressed.

Statistics don't lie - we struggle without him.

So, unless there's a major reconstruction of the team and the management, we just cannot afford to let him go.

He must stay until we get another 21 points to ensure our PL survival.

If we achieve this (no means certain at the moment) and he goes in the summer we will have a month or two to reorganise for the future which must include a new manager, new players and tactical plans to compensate for his loss.

It's actually a total dump in places but it does have its good bits.

I agree. He strikes me as a family man. I beleive he's recently become a father. Uprooting to Milan seems unlikely.

I'm not sure that his ex girlfriend and the mother of his first child would agree with you
