And that’s the issue, nobody expects big wins against the top 6 or 4-0 against our rival mid/lower table opponents week in week out, but when you lose 2 in a row against teams we should and need to take points off without offering a goal, you would expect Roy to look at the system and the team selection.

But he doesn’t we trot out the same old garbage way to play week in week out, hoping the opposition is either having an off day or just as bad as us.

I fully expect us to lose against WBA , no goals for Tekkers or Bats and zero creativity from our midfielders as they are drilled so much into a defensive role they have no idea what to do in the final third.

We’re treading water and eventually one season we will drown.

Should we lose against WBA, the bilge pumps will have to be deployed and will probably be working overtime by the end of January.

Everton not on form.
They have suffered 4 defeats in their last 5 games.

As with everything 1 win and everything will seem much better. It is just the last 2 games have been so disappointing against 2 very poor teams.

And indeed after that second half performance things do feel much better. 😃

just seen the league table and because some teams below us have a game in hand etc if we lose on sunday and other teams get the right result we will be down to 15th place. I find that quite irritating.

Don't worry,
- Leeds have just lost to the Spammers.
- If Newcastle win, it will be at the expense of Baggies who will stay 10 points behind us
- Arsenal's GD is FIVE worse than ours and they've scored SEVEN fewer goals so they are unlikely to overtake us (unless Spurs hammer us and Arsenal win well) and even if they do win it will be NULL points to Burnley who will stay 10 points behind us

So unlikely to fall lower than 13th.

In any case, we're going to beat Spurs.

We have only one real issue with our squad, many teams below us have two.

I was a little over-optimistic but are you feeling happier now? (I am)

We’re currently 12th in the league. Looking at the table most teams are where you’d expect them to be based on their quality. The two exceptions are West Ham and Arsenal who might reasonably be e pelted to swap places by the season’s end. That being the case we may well end up around 12th. Mid table again.
