Who on earth would be interested in such circumstances ?
Relegation battle, an old squad with hardly any resale value and a modest amount to spend in the transfer market.
Hardly appealing!

I hear you, what a choice! Dougie Freedman is available

Freedman has asserted in the past that he has no desire to return to management but of course he is within his rights to change his mind!
His last job in management was at Nottm Forest and he left there in March 2016.

Should we lose against WBA,there will be immense pressure on Roy,this being a third defeat in a row just as other poor sides start gaining some form of momentum,Fulham,WBA and even Brighton beginning to breathe down our necks.Unthinkable!!

We have gone from heading towards top 6 to just outside relegation in 2 games but it’s going to be one of those seasons with everyone capable of beating each other. We could have easily beaten Burnley and Newcastle and the points wouldn’t have been begrudged by anyone. I’m not massively concerned at the moment and I think we will beat WBA comfortably.

Good to see you so optimistic. When I asked how many points we would get from our last four games (Wolves, Leeds, Burnley, Newcastle) you reckoned ten. I myself said five, very hopeful. Unfortunately reality had to have a say and we totalled three from twelve, which in retrospect seems about right.

Watching Palace is a rollercoaster exacerbated by Roy’s current negative mind set which is foisted on a squad which continuously struggles without Wilf —December matches starting with WBA will be crucial to our survival in the premiership this season for both Parish and his love child Hodgson so I pray this weekend Palace show positive attacking ambitions and not settle for second best Employment of a sports psychologist ASAP would be money well spent for the rest of the season

If we have a full or nearly full squad then I will go for a 1-0 or 2-0 otherwise I predict a 0-0 or 0-1.
We need a full squad and if Bats plays then no change to Wilf and Andros but if Benteke is picked we must have Wilf on the right and Andros on the left at LEAST when we start

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

What I don't want is for Roy to go all cautious hold out for a 0-0 and get done with a last minute winner by WBA.
It's WBA after all not Man City.
Be bold and brave, not in reckless way, but in a way that balances defence with attack.

The longer it stays at 0-0 the less likely I feel we are to win.

If they score first I struggle to see us coming back.

Early goal in the game and we could be back in business.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

A well rested Wilf, our one man team, should create havoc and I am reasonably confident that we will secure a vital win against a buoyant Baggies side, but it will be desperate stuff.

In some ways it was a relief to see WBA victorious in their last match, otherwise we'd be heading into another game with a side desperate for their first win!

I've suggested this, so have others. We will never see it with Roy. Remember when Zaha and Bolasie used to swap flanks? Used to surprise the opposition, keep them on their toes. Not any more. We are literally the most predictable team in the Premier League. It can't be hard for opposition analysts, let's put it that way.

On current form we can guarantee 2 things:

1) first half will be a tough watch
2) second half will be a tough watch

Result, probably a draw.
