IMO Roy’s race is run and goose cooked..!!

Look we’ve just lost 2 games against teams we should be beating comfortably - with the squad/players at Roy’s disposal.

Roy looks tired, his tactics are tired and IMO the players ain’t playing for him - they seem tired of his tactics too as a lot of us...!!

Playing Schlupp up front with Bats and Benteke on the bench, dropping Jario, playing Dann who had a stinker against Burnley and at fault for both goals last night - whats all that about - it’s a nonsense..!!

All good things come to an end it’s time to part company - say thanks for all you’ve done and thanks for the memories.

Bring in someone with new ideas who will shake and freshen up a little, there are the current runners and riders in the fray;

Very well said.
After a shocking performance against Burnley, who we made look like Premiership title contenders,to guage how bad we have become,Burnley are currently being thrashed 5-0 by M.City.
Time to consider your position,Roy,if you have any honour?

You have a strange view, Burnley got a goal from an error and we battered then in second half, but couldn't score, hardly title contenders.
We beat Leeds 4-1, who drew 3-3 at Anfield! Other teams results against each other are irrelevant, its naïve to compare.
You don't like Roy, fine, but your clutching at straws.

Get real people! We have now spent a long time in the biggest league in the world and will likely stay there this year. From when I started supporting Palace, in the 3rd Division South, that's a big success.

We are in transition. We are building the academy as our future and 10 years from now things should look very different. We just need to get there. The post-Zaha era will be on us soon enough, and the post-Hodgson one sooner. Until then we have a wise head guiding us. The time will come for other styles but not yet. We may well have to spend a year or two back in the Championship at some point to allow a new, younger, team to gel but Roy is holding things together pretty well at the moment.

We didn't get outplayed either yesterday or at Burnley. We could have won either game, and probably deserved a draw in both. That's football. We missed Wilf, some of the players looked jaded, we were outpressed by teams who saw the opportunity to do so. It happens.

On to next week. And Eze looks great.

As Simon Jordan said, be carefull what you wish for!

1 Doubtful, if Roy stays...his football is stale and boring
2 A wise head? He played Schlupp as striker when we had strikers on the bench....the same bloke who put Harry Kane on taking corners!!! Wise?I think not
3 May not have been outplayed, just outscored in both...Burnley hadnt even scored at home and not won either...who do you wanna play....Palace please!
Newcastle are dire, yet we set up to NOT LOSE AT HOME That went well didnt it
WBA next...prediction 3-0 WBA if Roy is still here!

Since the restart last season we have played 19 league games, half a season, and attained 17 pts.

It is only the dross below us in the league at the moment that is keeping Roy in a job. Pard's demise was across seasons, where we had woeful form since Jan and this continued into the new season, finally getting him the chop.

I really do get that this is the best time ever for the club. Yes, we have been in the Premier League for 8 seasons. But it feels like we are only there to make up the numbers and avoid relegation. What happened to "pushing on"?

And before people say I am being ungrateful or unrealistic, I have followed long enough to have gone home and away in the old Division 3.

My perspective is that I am bored watching Palace. I go to pretty much all home games and the occasional away. I am fed up with Palace setting up negatively at home against teams way below us. We have lost, without scoring, against two very poor teams in the last week. Maybe, we were unlucky but we were still poor and uninspiring. I think if we lose Wilf in January (or to injury) we will go down.

Taking the situation he inherited into account, Roy has done a great job for us. But we have not "pushed on" and at best are stagnating. Maybe that is Parish's fault (or Dougie's) for not supporting him enough particularly in the transfer market. But, I sense that this is all we will get from Roy from now on.

Hopefully, Parish is thinking that we will see this season out with Roy, stay in the prem and bring in a new manager. Hopefully, he will have learnt from the FDB episode and there is already a very shortlist if not someone primed for the role.

A lot of "if we had's", "we coulds", "we cans", "in the future" in this..!!

Problem is that football is played in the here and now ..!!

And right now we have very talented squad who are under delivering/performing and that is due to tactics and the Manager - it's that simple.

Look Roy oversaw one of England's most embarrassing moments in the loss to Iceland and you can see direct parallels here - talented squad constrained by Roy's tactics, so under performing.

There is no doubt he was a good coach/Manager but his time is done, it's time to move on.

Someone asked me why we should have beaten both Burnley and Newcastle, so here you go;

Gauita - one of the best keepers in the Prem
Clyne - played for England
Cahill - played for England
Kouyate - Captain of Senegal
PVA - Plays for Netherlands
Milo - Plays for/Captains Serbia
Reidewald - came through the Ajax academy played/plays for Netherlands u21's
Eze - England u21 - widely regarded as one of England's brightest prospects.
Zaha - nuff said..!!
Townsend - played for England
Batshuayi/Benteke both play for Belgium.

There are others, but point is, if as a Manager you cant get anything out of that, you surely have to start looking at yourself..!!

And that is the point - Roy is just not getting the best out of what is available to him and that IMO is due to him as a Manager and his tactics..!!

Time to shake hands, move on and get someone in who can make something out of what is undoubtedly a very talented squad..!!

It is well documented now that the England players on the day fucked it up, they should've been good enough to organise themselves into a position of not losing that game, English players in all honesty are not actually all that useful against other well oiled and organised squads from other parts of the world, show me Mr Smarty Pants proof of any tournament where we have lit the event up? You can't because no matter who the manager is when we come up against a decent country we run into a brick wall.

This is easily the stupidest reply I have ever had on this forum

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Kelly has an England cap too. Courtesy of the great man.

Meyer has been capped for Germany - I'm call that an upgrade on Jordan Mutch.

Is Sakho the youngest player to captain France.

Tbh I seen the two losses comming a mile off! It happens! We could win out next 3 games and Roy is a genius again! It happens during a season! Loose when you arnt expected too and then win when you are not expected to either!

If I wanted fancy football I'd be following city or liverpool! I never went to palace games in all my years for the exciting football!
